Snack Buns (Posted by Carina)

Ingredients

Flour 500 g
Water 250 ml
Salt 2 tsp
Molasses (honey, sugar) 2 tsp
Rast. oil
(50 g pork fat)
3 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast 7 g
(20 g fresh)
SPREADING
Chopped parsley
finely chopped garlic
vegetable oil
chilli

Cooking method

  • - Knead an elastic dough, put in a greased dish, cover and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes
  • - Pour 70-100 ml of vegetable oil into a bowl and mix with chopped herbs, garlic and pepper
  • - Divide the dough into 16 pieces
  • - Roll each part into a plait (sausage) about 25 cm long and tie with a knot
  • - Put the buns on paper, cover and put in a warm place until they double in size
  • - Bake in an oven preheated to 210 ° C for 15 minutes until golden brown
  • - Lubricate the HOT buns with a brush with an oil mixture or roll in oil directly in a bowl
  • I practically don't eat fresh garlic, so I took a mixture of "Knorr" dry with parsley.
  • I added some thyme and rosemary. I think you can put herbs to your liking
  • Who loves small ones (I did not 16, but 32 pieces), then the flagella must be rolled out thin, then the buns are really Snacks - for one bite.
  • Made with corn molasses and pork fat.
  • They came up in a warm oven (50 ° C) for a little less than an hour, I think - I didn't notice.

Time for preparing:

15 minutes

Cooking program:

210°

Note

P.S. Girls, this is a miracle, not buns! The dough is GENTLE, but after soaking in the oil, an UNUSUAL crust appears.
I didn’t smear anything with a brush, I put the buns right into the bowl (I’ll attach a photo) and thoroughly “redeemed” them in the mixture, I even let them lie down for a couple of minutes.

According to my nameplate
20 g pressed = about 5-6 g dry = about 2 tsp (measured)

Hi,GruSha!
We are very fond of your buns! I make them all the time, experimenting with the recipe as I want: I replace part of the yeast with sourdough, then I add ripe dough, then wallpaper flour and always get CLASS.

The dough is very pleasant, it is a pleasure to work with it. The buns are delicious - and without powder too. I just brush them with melted butter.
Thanks for such a wonderful recipe!
