Arrows of pickled garlic

Ingredients

Young arrows of garlic 1 kg
Marinade water 1 l
Salt 50g.
Sugar 50 gr.
Vinegar (9%) 100 ml
Spices (bay leaves, allspice peas)

Cooking method

  • Wash young arrows of garlic, cut into sticks about 9 - 10 cm. I used only the juicy bottom part.
  • We put the arrows tightly in sterilized jars (0.5 l) along with bay leaves and pepper.
  • Fill with boiling water. Cover with lids and let stand for five to seven minutes.
  • We drain the water and prepare the marinade on it at the rate of the given proportions of salt and sugar, boil for a couple of minutes, add vinegar and pour into jars.
  • Close with lids and put under the blanket until it cools.
  • Bon Appetit!

Note

The recipe from the Cook website. RU

I have been doing it for a long time, a good snack for both potatoes and meat!

Omela
Svetik, you're right with the arrows!
shl. and they must be cut off, yes, when they appear .. I’m still a gardener, the first time I planted garlic.

Aha, with arrows! It is already necessary to collect, while young, juicy and not tough. I pickle the part that you pull out from the inside, about 10 cm, there is the most tender, the rest I throw away.

Today I fried the arrows for myself for lunch and added an egg. The scent was simply incomparable !!!!!!
Omela
I also love fried! And we don't have shooters yet .. what to collect ??

How much do you get him off ??? if 10 cm each gained a kilogram and even fried it ???

I also like to marinate and fry the arrows. Nothing is wasted with us. And someone throws them away.

Oh, how much garlic is planted

and I add apple cider vinegar. The arrows are fragrant and not hard.
MariS
I have a little garlic, unfortunately. I plant only in strawberries - it helps from pests.
Now I'll try to fry, at least a little.
I really want to feel the taste - maybe I'll start growing garlic with plantations ...
Ukka
I ask my relatives for shooters, I ask those familiar with dachas and vegetable gardens, we can still buy them on the market. True, I do not marinate them, but freeze them. I love fried arrows!

Nice and tasty. Isn't it wild garlic?

Nice and tasty. Isn't it wild garlic?

Ramson is a wild onion. There are two types of onions, called wild garlic: one is a victorious onion - Alllumvictorialis L., the other is a bear onion - A. ursinum L. from the onion family - Alliaceae.
Spicy herbs with the smell of garlic have entered our diet not so long ago. Fresh ramson are used in our country only in April and May, and then, as they say, you will not find it in the afternoon with fire. Many people dislike wild garlic because of its garlic smell. While others simply adore this very spring product (Arrows of pickled garlic

I saw that our grandmothers also sell arrows in the market.

Girls, I hope you try and appreciate it! This is my husband and father-in-law's favorite snack!

Lissa
I blanch the arrows for 5-7 minutes. Then even the hardest go with a bang.
Gaby
Fomka, what a clever you are that you put out the recipe, and only tried fried arrows last year, and what a yummy it turned out to be. Thanks for the reminder of the arrows ...
Pilgrim73
As the recipe turned out to be, now I will not throw out the garlic arrows, but I will also try to cook it. I went to see if there were any arrows on the garlic ...
Giraffe
I don't have yet ...
Pilgrim73
I went and looked, it is not even planned yet.
sazalexter
Why he asked, it looks like canned wild garlic. I didn't think that garlic could be prepared like that. 🔗
Galyunya1
Fomsa, thank you very much for the recipe !!!
You reminded me of another recipe using garlic arrows (we are just getting garlic): mince garlic + tomatoes + bell pepper, add vegetable oil + salt and there will also be a good seasoning (you can add wherever you want: on bread, in soup, for different dishes) !!!

It's me ! The whole village (at the dacha) says that they are delicious, but no one can really tell the recipe. Svetik, och on time, it's time to pluck! Bookmarked it!

Gaby
And today I bought them, fried them and hid them securely like a kitten "Woof" ... it was very tasty and now I'm wondering whether to pickle the leftovers or freeze or fry again tomorrow?

Kamusya dear, I just fried it slowly in a frying pan in vegetable oil, and before that I washed and cut them into 5-6 cm. Or maybe someone else will tell you how he fries it differently or with the addition of something.
Kamusik
Vikulya, tell me, as a countrywoman, what does this miracle resemble in finished form? And then, if I don’t like it, I’ll go crazy and send everything to Omelka near Moscow.
Omela
And I am the same mulberry. Tan, do not hear anyone .. just send it out !!!!
Kamusik
Well Toda, from that week (after the weekend) greet the evening horse!
kolenko
And we, these arrows, are already tavos, devouredate. Naturel. In salads ... And they, over there, are also fried and marinated. The village is unpaved

Well, how can I tell you .... uhh .... it should be tasted, it looks like fried arrows of garlic, maybe fried mushrooms with a texture reminiscent.

Seriously though, Tanya fry a little for a test, if you like it, then tady Omelke not send , will still wither until they arrive.
Kamusik
Well, Sho is a valuable product to translate, I'll fuse her pickled!
Kamusik
Svetik, the arrows have arrived! And how many jars are obtained from this proportion?
fomca
Here ... I will not tell! It all depends on how long you cut the sticks and with what hatred you tamp them into a jar!

The first time I did half a portion, I got two 0.5 liter jars, something like that ...
Natusik
Svetik, and I am grateful to you for your garlic arrows!

Here ...

Arrows of pickled garlic

Wow. How many planted, the whole field, probably
Pilgrim73
Yes, no, not a field at all - just one bed, 6 m long and 1 m wide. I won't insert a photo, it's been loading for 15 minutes already, mobile internet, damn it.

I always count by the teeth when I plant. I don’t remember exactly, I planted about 60 pieces. So I only had enough to freeze a small box, there wasn’t enough for pickling

Ksyusha, and I'm lying on the other side! I plant 250 cloves, only this year I had to plant in the spring (not such a quantity and quality is also not the same), but it turned out to be some kind of bewitching!
Altusya
Ksenia, you overtook me. I have 14 teeth
Gorislava
Girls, let me also get into this topic. Last year, using this recipe, I marinated the arrows of garlic, we opened the jars only after the new year. And what surprised me was that the taste and smell of garlic was completely absent! just pickled sour strong such grass. Are you doing it too? I think maybe this year add cloves of garlic to the arrows?
Pilgrim73
I went and, for the sake of interest, counted my garlic, 42 rows of 6 pieces in a row, a total of 252 cloves. (winter garlic). At least now I will know how much of it is growing. I don’t know about the taste of the shooters, because I’m closing it for the first time, I’ll unsubscribe in winter. The photo could not be inserted, it gives an error of some code.
Kamusik
Also did the first time! One was kicked out by a friend for a test, the second was opened by her husband. I called and said that I liked it very much! So we will repeat it next year!
Svetik, thanks again for the recipe !!!
fomca
Oh, girls, girls!

And I ran, counted mine - 11 rows of 34 pieces in each, total ...

Pilgrim73, I'm glad that the recipe came in handy, I'm waiting in the winter with a report ... since such a failure with the mobile Internet, by the way I also have a USB modem
