Strawberry Poppy Kiss Cake

Ingredients

Biscuit:
Eggs 6 pcs.
Sugar 6 tbsp. l.
Flour 6 tbsp. l
Poppy 80 g
Strawberry Jelly:
Strawberry 500g
Gelatin 15-20g
Sugar 4 tbsp. l.
Cream:
Milk 400 ml
Yolks 2 pcs.
Flour 1 tbsp. l
Starch 1 tbsp. l
Sugar 100 g
Oil 250 g
Vanillin or vanilla sugar

Cooking method

  • Biscuit:
  • Separate the whites from the yolks.
  • Beat whites, gradually add sugar.
  • Continuing to beat, add one yolk at a time.
  • Add sifted flour. Mix with a spoon.
  • Add poppy seeds to 2/3 of the dough, mix.
  • Bake 3 cakes - 2 poppy seeds and 1 white.
  • Bake at 175 deg. 15-20 minutes.
  • Strawberry Jelly:
  • Dissolve gelatin in a little water.
  • Grind strawberries with sugar, add gelatin, mix. Prepare in the form of jelly from half a portion, having previously covered the bottom with foil. So make two layers of jelly.
  • Cream:
  • Boil milk with vanilla.
  • Combine yolks, sugar, flour and starch. Pour in hot milk. Stir to heat until it boils.
  • Remove from heat, cool.
  • Beat butter, add to cream.
  • Assembly:
  • Poppy cake - cream - jelly - cream - white cake - cream - jelly - cream - poppy cake - cream.

Note

I put semi-frozen jelly right on top of the cream. If you do as described above, the cut will be more beautiful:

Thanks to the author for the cake recipe. I liked the taste. She slightly deviated from the recipe by making a vanilla biscuit on boiling water + poppy seeds. Instead of fresh strawberries, I used mashed strawberries. The only thing for me is the coldness from the jelly, when the cake is out of the fridge, I have to keep it warm before eating.

I took strawberries grated with sugar and frozen since summer, the proportions of strawberries and sugar were observed there by eye, so the jelly let me down, it did not freeze at all. Even the fact that two separate layers, each on cling film, did not help. I put everything on the cake with a spoon, the result is in the photo. I also made a conclusion for myself that the poppy should be put in two cakes - in one in the middle it is almost not felt. But in spite of everything, the cake is very tasty and I will definitely repeat it !!!
