Empanadas with jam

Ingredients

Butter 100 g
Sugar 60 g
Cream cheese (I have Almette) 75 g
Wheat flour 200 g
Thick jam for filling

Cooking method

  • Heat butter and sugar over low heat, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Cool down.
  • Add cheese, beat.
  • Add flour, mix.
  • Collect the dough in a ball, put in a bag and refrigerate for 12 hours to 1 week.
  • Remove the dough from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  • Roll out thinly. I pinched off small pieces and rolled them out in pieces. Cut circles with a glass. Put 1 hour on one half. l. fillings, cover with the second half. Fasten the edges with a fork.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C until golden brown. The exact time depends on your oven. It took me 30 minutes.

  • Delicious and versatile dough. You can just sculpt cookies or bagels. I made a double serving of 40 pieces. The dough can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, in the freezer for up to 6 months.
