Zucchini musaka

Ingredients

Small squash 3 pcs
Bulb onions 2 pcs
Garlic 5-6 teeth
Tomato 2-3 pcs
Rice 1/2 cup
Eggs 2 pcs
Milk 1 glass
Flour 2 tbsp. l.
Vegetable oil
Salt pepper
Water

Cooking method

  • Cut the zucchini into thin longitudinal slices, roll in flour and salt and fry on both sides until half cooked, put in a bowl and cover with a lid.
  • Dice the onion and fry until soft, add finely chopped garlic, tomatoes, pour boiling water over the washed rice and cook under a lid over low heat until the rice is tender.
  • Put a layer of zucchini in a mold, half of the rice, again zucchini, rice and the top layer again zucchini. Pour the moussaka with a mixture of milk, eggs and flour and bake in the oven until golden brown.

Note

The recipe from Elmira Medzhitova's book "The Taste of Home Cooking" with my slight changes, they put the zucchini in two layers in the books, that is, the bottom layer of rice, and I took 1 glass from zucchini and rice, instead of 1/2 cup.

So, in essence, cooking. She did it exactly according to the recipe and laid it out on a baking sheet, that is, it turned out not high (as if it were in some form), but low, 2.5-3 cm. It looks pretty decent. I seem to be doing well. As long as my husband and children did not praise, since they did not try, I will praise myself, I liked it
