Stewed potatoes with meat (Brand 6051)

Ingredients

meat (preferably beef) 500gr.
potatoes 1.6-1.8 kg
carrot 200gr.
allspice peas 10 pieces.
Bay leaf 2 pcs.
salt, black pepper taste
tomato (very ripe) - option 1 PC.
water 180 ml

Cooking method

  • Potatoes with meat are our first, second and compote!)))
  • 1. Place the meat in a bowl. Cut into rather large pieces, the size of an egg. This time I have chicken legs, but beef is the best for my taste. And you can do anything - lamb, pork. Meat can also be a lot or a little. In stewed potatoes, the main thing is not meat.))) If the meat is on the bones (ribs, for example), then after stewing the meat will be separate, the bones - separately))).
  • 2. Now we cut the potatoes into rather large pieces (don't need cubes as for soup). In my photo, the dimensions are visible.
  • 3. Put carrots grated on a coarse grater on top, you can have one sweet and ripe-ripe tomato. Allspice peas, black ground pepper, salt, pour in 180 ml of water and Manual 125 degrees 50 min-1 hour.

  • This recipe can be varied very decently: add vegetables (for example, bell pepper), take different types of meat, different ratios of meat and vegetables, add cilantro, etc. This is the base. We have been cooking like this in the family for many years. But in my potatoes, the main thing is to add carrots well. It turns out to be a little sweet and stewed. You can poke the potato grinder a couple of times before serving. Zizka will mix with mashed potatoes.

But it is never possible to get exactly with the liquid. You can't calculate exactly: juice / liquid gives meat, vegetables, plus we pour it. How much it will be as a result is unknown.))) Just guess. If, for example, you pour water so that it rises to the side by a third of the volume of the laid products, then after cooking it (the liquid) will be more than half the volume.

In manual mode, the pressure is not set. Temperature only. And since the boiling point and pressure are directly interconnected by the laws of physics, then setting 125-130 degrees, you essentially set the maximum pressure. Am I making it clear?

And color never bothers me. Her color is not red, but brownish in such cases. The peculiarity of the pressure cooker is that the potatoes are overfilled. This is from pressure (high temperature). The drink never gave it out, but I often have Orson. If such taste and color is annoying - thick-walled dishes and on the stove. Until a boil, it will boil for a bit and on the smallest heat for an hour and a half. Another brine from homemade pickled tomatoes, splash half a glass into the liquid - it will fly away.
