In my house there is always a problem with dull knives. I don't know how to sharpen them correctly, and you won't question your husband. In the advertising brochure, I read about the Klatronic electronic gun. Has anyone used similar devices? Share your impressions, otherwise you don't want to buy a useless thing.

I also have.
I bought a regular knife.

Many firms have such little knives, I saw Teskoma recently. Very comfortably. A few movements - and the knife is sharp.
I don't know why to use electricity where you can do without it perfectly)
Hope
And in Klatronic you can also sharpen scissors, at least as they write in advertising. The sharpening angle is important there.

I have such a knife https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=1429.210... I don’t have an ordinary stove, like that of a Village stove, so I cannot compare. But I have long dreamed about electric. I'm pleased. Sharpens not only knives (2 types) but also scissors and even screwdrivers. Continuous work for more than 20 minutes is not recommended, and this is not necessary. The motor is weak, of course, but it is quite possible to sharpen knives.
Hope
Elena Bo.
This is exactly the little knife I asked about. At least it looks very similar. So the thing is good, you can take it.
Elena Bo
If it's not very expensive, take it. I, too, could never be interrogated, and now this question has disappeared by itself. Need to sharpen - immediately took out a knife and sharpened.

I bought this knife about a year ago in Auchan for about 450 rubles. More suitable for the point of thick forged knives. Thin stamped ones sharpen badly, you have to remove the protective cover and sharpen. I did not sharpen screwdrivers, I usually adjust them on a block. C grade scissors. It seems to me that the motor is rather weak.

A Clatronic MSS 2990 electric knife has arrived in my shelf of kitchen utensils. I bought it on the Metro on occasion (and not me, but my husband noticed it on the shelf) for 450 rubles. We tested it at home - a beast car! Sharpens quickly and well in my opinion. We don't need to sharpen screwdrivers, we haven't gotten to scissors yet, but the knives are great (the most ordinary knives).
And now I have a question - where to get a new grinding disc when this one is erased? The instructions do not say anything about its service life, nor where it can be purchased. Please tell me who uses ...
1958
My emery ground off after a year. I bought 5 pieces in power tools at once. Where grinding machines are sold.
mish
1958, thanks for the answer! Tell me, what city are you from (I hope, from St. Petersburg - which is also in our "power tool")? And such a question: in the store where you bought these grinding discs, how were they positioned? How are the sharpening discs for the Clathronic knife-cutter or otherwise? And how did they fit?
1958
I am from Astrakhan. I went shopping with a knife. You need to buy by diameter. The manager in the store will tell you. These circles are not necessary for the little knife.
mish
It's a pity that it's not in St. Petersburg ...
Thanks a lot for the advice anyway! I will do so. Moreover, if such circles appear in a power tool, they will be much cheaper than if ordered through some kind of repair service. In the near future I'll start looking, then unsubscribe.
1958
Good luck. If you do not find - write. We'll come up with something....

I also have a cell phone, but to be honest, I'm not happy with her, her motor is weak.

I also wanted to buy a knife while I was going to Smail for 500 rubles. buy, they disappeared somewhere. And two manual ones do not suit me at all, no matter how much I tried to sharpen, all the knives seem dull. One has discs made of steel, the other has some kind of abrasive stone, but there is no sense. She spat on this business, took an electric drill, set it at low speed, instead of a drill she clamped a small grinding disk on a rod (in any hardware store they sell different designs and thicknesses). Happened- . Cheap and cheerful. The husband is really a little offended.

Vikusya, I do not regret at all that I once bought a sharpener - but the knives are always sharp without problems, and the sharpening is of high quality, lasts for a long time, the blade of the knives does not spoil. There is a possibility, then buy

Viki - I bought myself this light green miracle DEX DKS 20!

I liked the sharpening angle very much - about 20 degrees (I went to measure with a protractor and a leaf folded under 45 degrees)
She sharpened all the knives in the house with it!
But it seems to me - she lacks the finishing touch - polishing - that is, I was forced to spend stage 3 on simple Lansky sticks. Maybe I'm picky, but others will like it anyway.

The knife is very good, but when choosing - you need to check it on some nasty knife, because in the Metro I came across a copy with a bulge on a grinding disc! Imagine for a moment how the metal on the knife will hollow out in this case.
I checked right in the Metro, after half an hour of busting all the little knives in a row, they still came up to me and asked - what are you - you came here to sharpen your knives?

So I highly advise

Thank you! I'm afraid that everyone in my household is about the same.
I have never sharpened knives. Our uncle periodically walked around our yards, carrying a machine on a cart and shouting loudly: "I sharpen knives, scissors ..." Then he disappeared somewhere. I wear a sharpener that is on the market. So for me it's like first grade.
PS Placed an order. I'm waiting.
irysska
Yulchik, with the purchase you need

Viki - happy shopping for you

Girls, how much does this miracle-Dexic cost?
Viki
irysska, Thank you! While I'm waiting. I ordered it on the Rosette, I gave a reference there above, the issue price is 209 UAH. This is DEX-20. And they also have DEX-30. I just liked the light green.
igorechek
Tell me, maybe I don’t understand. And why do you need an electric knife? I have a few Berner scissors. 3-4 times he himself spent one disk, if necessary, a couple of times along the neighboring one of ceramics for finishing and that's it! The blades are sharpest.
If you really need something more serious, that is, a finishing stone is more expensive and requires some skill.
And these my simple little knives are 300 rubles, cheap and reliable ...
Why electric?

And why do you need an electric knife?
For some reason it seemed to me that the electric one would be more convenient for me. The price difference is small. We have Berner 145 UAH, and DEX-20 209 UAH. I suspect there isn't much of a difference. I just found it in a trusted store with convenient delivery. I hope to be friends with her. We'll see.

Right! It is much more convenient, especially for lovely ladies who are not friends with various sharpenings and do not understand much about this, to which I include myself
And here a little knife on the suction cups, turned it on, the circles rotate - and just substitute the knives on the opposite side Quickly and efficiently
igorechek
So it is on my suction cup. 53 grams total, 6x6x4 cm tiny. The wife at any time takes it from the shelf, puts it on the table, sucks it with a lever and takes it 3-4 times absolutely safely without effort to sharpen it. All ! No more than 10 seconds for everything. Easy, cheap and simple ... Before this device, my wife could not even imagine that knives can be sharpened so easily. Why extra money, inserting batteries, the motor won't fly, etc.
There are things that the simpler the better. Email the drive is needed for other sharpening work.

Oddly enough, but each of us has the right to choose what is more to our liking.
igorechek
I agree. Just considering my experience, I know that such e-mails. the devices are almost always made by firms that are not reputable and after a while the devices break down, since they are mainly consumer goods. The price is not very high, but an unpleasant residue then remains, especially in a vulnerable female soul. And so I bought myself a simple thing, in which there is nothing to break in principle, and use it to your health ...
julifera
Have Admin an electric sharpener of the same design has been for many years already - there is nothing special to break, the discs are good, it is easy to sharpen - we really like it And no problems with kitchen knives
Babushka
I have a Tefal electric opener sharpener. Convenient. This is the second. The first was Tefal too. Served faithfully for 16 years. The new one has been serving for 5-6 years ...
igorechek
For general development I read different reviews on models up to $ 30-40. Something in general got overwhelmed ... There are so many "pitfalls" and possible breakdowns. Not, after all, in this case, it is better not electrical.

My husband does not know how to sharpen knives at all. Well, that is, he does not know how at all ...
And he also does not know how to cook (also from the word "absolutely"), so he does not see anything wrong with knives sharpened by a banal "grinder" (well, not on the coarse-grained circle, of course) This is how we lived for many years ...
At some point, I decided to take the issue of cutting tools into my own hands. Completely changed the park of knives ditched by my other half. I went online with the question "How to sharpen knives correctly", I was stunned by the information about the correct degrees of inclination when sharpening, I realized that sharpening knives with a protractor is not mine! It was then that I started thinking about the means of automating this action ...
I trusted the seller in the "knife" store and never regretted it! And he advised me to chefs choice, the simplest model 310.
And for three years now I have no problem with blunt knives in my house. Three thousand and a half - and the nerves are more intact, both for me and for my husband. And without any headache "about degrees" - the built-in magnets themselves help to guide the knife as it should!
The only thing I regret is that it does not have the function of sharpening serrated knives (it was necessary to take the model a bit more expensive). But this is simply because I did not have such knives at the time of purchase, so I did not think. And now it would not hurt to sharpen a bread knife ...
igorechek
Well, this class of knife is another matter. Another thing is that it is for a large number of knives or very blunt ones.
There is another way out - to buy good forged knives (from 400-500 rubles) and not sharpen, but simply edit them every six months or a year with an inexpensive non-electric knife.
But our domestic knives have to be sharpened much more often, but if they do not start, then it is done elementary and simple.

My knives are not the cheapest, but also not very expensive - Spanish Arcos (from the economy series). When I bought it, I understood that sooner or later there would be a sharpening problem, I wanted to buy it immediately. But in the instructions to him, as I read about the same degrees of the sharpening angle, I was immediately scared. If only someone showed at least once how to do it correctly! ..I'm sure it's not all that scary, but ...
And, probably, I somehow do not cut so well, I don’t have enough sharpening for six months (and even more so for a year!). About once every three months you have to undermine. Precisely to sharpen, because very few passes are required for re-sharpening (6-8), while for the first sharpening - 30 or more.

I have chefs choice too. At one time I bought a thousand for 10. In stainless steel, at 4 stages like. I love. Sharpens perfectly and easily. It has been working without problems for 5-7 years.
Although, of course, I would like a full machine gun to throw a pack of knives in there, and he sharpened them in turn. )) Interestingly, this has not yet been invented?
