Plum cake in chocolate

Ingredients

Dough:
flour 150 g
butter 200 g
sugar 150 g
eggs 2 pcs
cocoa 1.5 tbsp
baking powder 1 tsp
rum 2 tbsp
Filling:
fresh plums 300-350 g
Sprinkling:
almond 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
chocolate and powdered sugar for finishing 30 g and 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Cut half of the strong sweet and sour plums into cubes and cut half into halves. Coarsely chop the almonds and mix with brown sugar. Mix flour with cocoa and baking powder.
  • 2. Beat the softened butter with sugar into a fluffy homogeneous mass, then add eggs one at a time and beat all together. Add flour mixture in several steps. Stir in the diced plums into the finished dough and add rum.
  • 3. Put the dough in a mold (line the bottom with baking paper). Spread the halves of the plums on the top, sprinkle with almonds mixed with brown sugar and put in an oven preheated to 160C for 40-45 minutes (bake until a dry skewer).
  • 4. Remove the cake from the mold, allow to cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and pour over melted chocolate.

Note

The pie is absolutely not difficult to prepare, with a rich chocolate flavor and a crispy nut crust. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
Cook with love and bon appetit!

Marisha, I'm the first for your wonderful pie! I will taste a bite with pleasure!
And my plums are filled with sugar, they will ripen soon ...
Twist
Marisha, Help yourself, honey! I would be glad if you like it!
And our plums are already leaving. I almost missed the season for something this year.

Marish, what I need right now! I'm going to the oven. What size is the shape?
Twist
Irisha, I baked in the form D22cm. Happy baking, I will wait for your impressions!

Thank you!

Marina, another tasty treat! As I read the name of the recipe, I immediately thought that it should be your cake. I'll bake it today. True, instead of whole almonds, I have petals, but maybe that's okay. Your other plum cake is waiting in the wings. They have to bring me almond flour, and then I'll come off. The plums should be kept on until Friday, and in which case the late plum ripens, I'll pick it up on the weekend.

Forgot to ask, do you like pies in the oven more than in Brand? In the multicooker, I liked the biscuit, and then it was in Panasonic. You can bake in Oursson, but still for me it is better in the oven.
Twist
Natasha, thanks for the kind words! I really hope the pie does not disappoint you.
Forgot to ask, do you like pies in the oven better than in Brand?
I have no definite answer. There are pies that I liked more from MV, there are those in the oven (almond-plum from the second half). And I haven't baked so much yet.

Gotta bring me some almond flour, that's when I'll come off
And I gave up buying almond flour for a long time. I use almond petals - lightly dry on minimal heat in the oven - and in a Brown Chopper, the "grind" is very fine and homogeneous, perfect for pies.

Hello Marisha and everything, everything, everything!
Here's my cake, I made it last night, you can try it today. This is a fairytale . :

Chocolate, plums and almonds - mmmmmmmm! The dough is the most tender.
Several tricks came in handy: first, the fact that the halves of the plums are stacked up with a cut and with the skin down - like yours. The plum skin is quite dense, the juice does not flow down and the dough does not get wet. And one more trick, already my homemade one: instead of cocoa, I put 3 tbsp. l.instant powder for making a chocolate drink (I think that now it is everywhere), only reduced the amount of sugar in the dough, because it is in the powder. I do this in chocolate pies, then it turns out softer. But this is optional.
And the pie, in general, was intended for a visit. I cut off one side, like, try it, and then covered everything with chocolate. And the husband came and ate it from the other side. Here is:

Irishawhat a handsome man! Great cake! I am so glad that I was pleased and the recipe came in handy!

Is there anything left for the guests? And that photo with a plate is suggestive!

An interesting solution. Irisha, can you say the name? I want to try, but we have too many of them, I don't want to get into a hole.

You are a hooligan Marish! This is not a cake, but a sheer disgrace! Chocolate, plums and almonds ... Passing such a cake is a crime!
Twist
Marisha, !
And I'm not a hooligan, but on the contrary, caring. As soon as I came across a recipe, I immediately remembered you. And I decided, while the plums are there, not to put them on the back burner, but to bake and lay out - what if it comes in handy. We have a chocolate soul!
Sonadora
Thank you, Marisha! I have no doubt that it will come in handy and really like it!

Good morning, Marinochka!
It all started with a TV show. We have - as elsewhere - culinary programs, and one of our favorites is called Sweet Secrets, hosted by Karen Goren. She usually has very simple, quick recipes and, most importantly, she understands well that here - or everywhere - children love. For example, NOTHING WITH CREAM ()! In no case! NOT NAPOLEON! I understood this well after I brought it to class for my child's birthday, we just arrived ... ... well, they just didn't rush to them ... So, she has a recipe called "Chocolate cake, which children love ", well, such, brown, without anything and sprinkle with such colored small pills on top of the glaze. But children eat! So there instead of cocoa - this powder for cooking - we say - shoko. It's just cocoa or liquid chocolate, I don't know. Here's the powder:
Plum cake in chocolate

Here is the jar:
Plum cake in chocolate
It reads: "Elite" (this is a factory, and I know that elite products are sold in Russia), "Chocolite", and below - "powder for making a milk drink with chocolate flavor." The composition contains cocoa powder, sugar, milk powder and some other additives. The most common instant cocoa for every day. We also have different ones, but this one is the most popular. And what's interesting is that it really improves the taste. Tender somehow. I took three spoons of this instead of cocoa and reduced the amount of sugar.
The guests got something, they liked it very much! Thanks again!

Irisha, thank you very much! There is also a photo, now I definitely won't miss!

Marinochka, I baked your pie yesterday. My bad luck turned out to be with flour. The amount of flour turned out to be catastrophically small. Moreover, the plums were almost overripe and sour. Baked in the oven for 1.5 hours. The cake is baked! But he practically did not rise. The taste is very good! Even my picky ones liked it. The husband noted that the taste of not very sweet chocolate goes well with sour plum. So everyone is saying a BIG THANKS to you. And OPE ........ CHI

Well, the photo ... it may look different for you, the main thing is the composition. Although, who knows? There can easily be the same cans, but with an inscription in English.
Twist
Natasha, as I understand it, it seemed to you that there is not enough flour in the recipe?
The dough is of course tender, but if there was more flour in the recipe, the cake would turn out too dense after baking.
I have one suggestion why this happened - the reason may be in the butter. I somehow had the same picture that you describe
with this cupcake.
I bake this blueberry-yoghurt, which is called "with my eyes closed" and once, just like yours, it sits in my oven for over an hour, practically does not rise and remains moist inside. I did bake it, but the taste and appearance were completely different. At first I could not figure out what was the matter, and then I realized that the oil failed - only it was of a different trade mark, everything else was as always.
lungwort
Marina, on this day I baked bread. So there, too, the flour was not enough compared to the recipe. I used to bake this bread exactly according to the recipe and the result was excellent, but this time, remembering how the dough should turn out, I added another 100 grams, almost half. The bread came out excellent. I think it’s a matter of oil and flour. The flour was Makfa, and earlier it was baked in Sokolnicheskaya or Nastyusha. And Svaal's oil and the remains of some 72%.
Twist
Natashamaybe the flour is to blame, it's hard to say. I was just very upset that the result was not quite what I expected.
lungwort
Marina, I'm not upset at all. The taste is wonderful! Well, it baked longer, well, it didn't rise this time, the next time it will look better, but the taste is the same!
