Oatmeal honey-cream bread

Category: Yeast bread

Ingredients

Wheat flour320 g (2 cups)
Whole grain flour80 g (1/2 cup)
Oat flour100 g (2/3 cup)
Water150 ml
Salt1 tsp
Honey1 tbsp. l.
Butter25 g
Dry yeast1 1/4 tsp
Natural yoghurt150 ml

Cooking method

  • Amount in cups in brackets (240 ml)
  • Since the yogurt is from the refrigerator, I did this: I melted honey and butter in a glass, poured warm enough water into a bucket, added yogurt and butter-honey, and a warm liquid turned out.
  • Separately in a bowl, sift all types of flour and stir with a spoon until smooth. Then everything is as usual.
  • Watch out for the kolobok: it will turn out a little softer than the usual wheat one, but the main thing is that it is not liquid, in general, it all depends on the flour.

Note

The result is an unusually soft and tasty bread with a delicate fine-pored texture and honey aroma, and this bread is also ideal for toast!
Unusually tasty, fragrant bread with soft tender crumb and crispy crust!

Niseema, it is not necessary to melt honey I usually just put 1-2 st. tablespoons of honey in a bread maker, cut the softened butter into slices and then everything is as usual. It turns out great!

Can oatmeal be replaced with cereal? I have no flour

Ulitka, I just have sugared honey, that's why I melted it, and if it's liquid, then of course it's not necessary. And the butter - I'll try next time just put softened

Sveta, about cereals - I honestly don't know, I just bought oatmeal for the occasion, so I was looking for how to use it in baking, and with oatmeal - there are several good options in recipes. In principle, of course, you can also use cereals grind into flour ...

You can, only a little more water is needed, just a couple of tablespoons a table., Otherwise there is more flakes of water than flour is taken.

I baked this bread. I liked it very much !!! Such a delicate creamy color and creamy taste.
Only I didn’t have yogurt - I added market fermented baked milk instead. Probably due to the density of the fermented baked milk during the kneading process, it was necessary to add 3 tbsp. spoons of water.

Niseema, good afternoon! I have a prescription question. Natural yoghurt - do you need to do it or can you buy it in a store and which one? And what can I use instead of yoghurt if I can't find it.

You can use any yogurt, or you can use yogurt, kefir and so on, even curd whey - it depends on your taste
