Pea porridge (Steba DD1)

Ingredients

Dry peas in halves 2 regular glasses
Bulb onions 2 large onions
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • I washed the peas, soaked them for two hours, washed them again.
  • Finely chopped the onion, fried in Frying in oil, added the peas, poured boiling water on a level with the peas, salted, although they do not recommend it, but we have the FAST cooker))), mixed with the onion.
  • I set the Soup mode, pressure - 0.7, time - 10 minutes. The cube squeaked, turned it off, left it for half an hour, then released the rest of the steam with a short puff, mixed it. The pea is ready! Sprinkle with green onions, add garlic. Delicious!

The dish is designed for

The peas are really delicious in multi.
I usually soak peas overnight. In the morning I fry carrots, onions, washed peas in a saucepan. And in the "Beans" mode I cook, there by default 40 minutes. The pressure drops, you open it - it seems the peas are not cooked (peas and broth separately), you mix it with a spoon, it turns out a homogeneous mass. Om-Nom-nom
They love me a little thinner.

I soaked it out of habit, but it boils well without soaking! Yes, the porridge turned out to be a bit thick, but very tasty!

Sveta, also cooked a pea today. But I got some kind of peas, probably not very much, not split, but whole. And the liquid was not enough. In general, I am picky, and my guys crack, praise)).

The reaction of our pets is the best indicator! And I never came across a whole one, only in halves)

Marina, I can’t tell you, I don’t have Ourson, this is high pressure (there are two options, there is still a low one). I cooked at high pressure for 10 minutes)

Sveta, today I once again ate this whole and thought - why did I need it. From somewhere sits in the memory that the whole is better, so I buy it from time to time. But in fact, I like the stabbed one much more.

Girls, soaked the peas for a couple of hours, then all following the recommendations: soup mode, 10 min. and so on. As a result: peas separately, water separately - nikokoy porridge. I think so: can I have some thermonuclear peas? I decide to repeat the whole process and set the time to 15 minutes. The result is better - the peas began to boil, but the porridge did not work. For the third time I already put porridge on the regime and something similar to porridge turned out after another 20 minutes. Am I doing something wrong?

Lyuba, I beg your pardon, I just saw the message.
I don't even know why you did it this way, my peas boil very well even in soup, even in the form of porridge, even with salt. I have regular yellow peas in halves. And green boils down even faster.

Thank you, it remains to assume that the point is really in the peas: yellow, whole. I'll try to cook it again. I think I'll soak it for the night and put it twice as much, let's experiment

A lot of time has passed, we have tried it, probably a hundred times. Well, how did the peas win?
Za6ava
))) won))) !!! Soaked overnight and cooked porridge in the standard mode. It turned out to be a boiled puree (the husband insists that this is mashed potatoes, not porridge!) In general, how he loves
Gala_Z
I cooked porridge, everything was exactly according to the recipe, BUT I did not soak the peas at all and it boiled down just fine (I have yellow peas, chipped (in halves).
natushka
Mash, but the recipe does not indicate the amount of water

taty327, Svetlana, thanks for the recipe. Labor costs are minimal, everything is very fast and tasty. I took half of the ingredients for the sample, I took yellow peas, in halves, soaked for 2 hours, delicious. Even the child was eating, and this is a good sign. Thank you!
Katko
I cooked it today from split peas, I got one that I needed more water, poured it a couple cm higher, it turned out to be a thick puree
