Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Not so long ago I became the owner of wonderful utensils for microwaves (microwaves and nothing but microwaves, convection and grills are not needed).
I know that not everyone will be able to do such a trick on the fly, because in Russia the dishes RANGE MATE not for sale yet. But it can be found on ebay or taobao. However, I am a happy owner, and therefore I want to share my joy ...
Originally this product of the latest kitchen technology, sort of like from South Korea. In any case, everything is done very soundly: high-quality plastic (heats up slightly, potholders and stands are not needed, although inside about 300 C. ceramics) Space technologies, and only ...
In the Internet, information about the gadget - the cat cried. In Russian mighty - nothing at all. From what I could catch from the Anglo-Chinese presentations: the gadget turns the microwave oven into a kind of traditional stove, allowing you to fry (including deep-fried or grilled), bake with a golden brown crust, keeping almost all the traditional functions of the microwave oven (well, maybe that except for heating), including a high cooking speed.
The principle of operation is as follows: a metal convex lid does not allow microwaves to penetrate into the dish, and cause it (according to SOME scientists) harm. Some kind of wonderful composite material is built into the bottom of the saucepan, which is easily heated under the influence of a microwave to more than 300C and gives off its heat to the interior of the pan. That is, the dish is heated from the bottom. At the same time, high-quality heat-resistant plastic outside does not allow heat energy to be dissipated, saving it and accumulating it.
Something like this.

Video presentation:

My very first experiment right after purchase: chicken drumsticks fried with potatoes and Brussels sprouts:

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

I sprinkled the frozen drumsticks and cabbage (as well as coarsely chopped potatoes) with seasoning and put them in the microwave for 15 minutes. A fried crust appeared, but the drumsticks themselves were not fried inside. She splashed a little water into the saucepan, turned the ingredients over and put it back in the microwave for 10 minutes. However, I turned it off after 7 minutes (guided by the smell): the water was completely fried, the meat was cooked.

The following experiments:

Fried crucians

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Structure

Elementary composition:

crucian carp,
salt,
bread crumbs (or flour),
vegetable oil

And of course the RANGE MATE saucepan and microwave oven

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Preparation

I took a couple of relatively large crucians for testing. Cleaned, gutted, washed, salted, rolled in breading.
In a saucepan RANGE MATE poured vegetable oil in a layer of about 3 mm. She laid down the carp.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

I spied in the attached recipe (albeit in English) frying modes for fish:

900-1300 W: 7 minutes on one side + 2 minutes on the other side.
700-800 W: 8 minutes on one side + 2 minutes on the other side.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

I have a 1000 cotton microwave. I put a saucepan with a lid on it. Power - to the maximum. Time set 10 minutes.
However, exactly after 7 minutes the smell began to spread, and I realized that it was time to turn the fish over.
Turned over, set the timer for 5 minutes. However, again, by the smell, I realized that all 5 minutes would be too much: I pulled out a saucepan after 3 minutes (after all, it turned out that the recipe book could be trusted)

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

As you can see, even after removing the saucepan from the oven, the oil continues to sizzle.
The fish was fried, while the flesh remained juicy, not overdried, as it happens on the stove or in the microwave.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

As a side dish, I used Brussels sprouts, cooked in the same microwave, but in the usual way: without defrosting, I sprinkled just a little lemon juice and soy sauce in a glass dish under the lid and in the microwave at full power - for 3-4 minutes.

FLAN FLAMBEET COCONUT ABSENT

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Flan is traditionally steamed. So I decided to try two methods of preparing this recipe: 1) in a microwell in RANGE MATE cookware; 2) in a multicooker on the "steam" mode. The conclusion is unambiguous: henceforth I will cook this dessert ONLY in RANGE MATE. And the point is not only that time is saved several times, but the taste of a cooked flan in an ordinary double boiler cannot be compared: flans according to the second method turned out to be more moist, friable in structure, with a distinct egg aftertaste. Flans cooked in RANGE MATE are plump, dense, tender. The egg flavor did not stand out. And this is not only my opinion. My niece also tasted, and gave the unconditional palm to the first flank.
There is also a way to cook flan in an oven bain-marie. My hands have not yet reached this method.
By the way, there is a flan recipe in the book attached to RANGE MATE. The composition of the "test" there is completely different. From the book, only information about the heating time was used.

Structure
For flans:
4 eggs
400 ml coconut milk
75 g sugar

For berry syrup:
marmalade syrup - 100 ml
berries (fresh or frozen) - 1 handful
coffee-absinthe liqueur

For flaming:
Absinthe red

And
cookware RANGE MATE
culinary burner (or matches, lighter, but they are less convenient)
multicooker or double boiler (alternative)

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

There are no berries and absinthe in the photo, because the idea to make a berry flambé came during the cooking process.

Preparation

For a flan "dough" mix coconut milk (I had a very thick one), sugar and eggs. Do not whisk!

Note: coconut milk can be replaced with cream, but be sure to use some kind of flavoring (such as vanilla) in order to shade the egg flavor)

Range Mate Microwave Cookware Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Then we act in accordance with the instructions for the RANGE MATE: pour a glass of water into a saucepan, place the attached muffin tray directly on it, pour the prepared "dough" into the molds. It took me exactly half of the prepared mixture for one dressing. She poured a ladle from the microwave: two full ladles for one mold.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

We close the lid, put in the microwave oven at maximum power. The RANGE MATE recipe contains the following recommendations:
900-1300 V: 13 min.
700-800 V: 15 min.
I have a 1000 wadded microwave, I set the time: 14 minutes.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

While the flans are getting ready, let's start with the syrup. Any thick syrup will do. I had a stock of marmalade syrup (the most consistency).

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

This can and will be limited, but I decided to go further. I slightly warmed the syrup and mixed it with unfrozen berries (I had raspberries and sea buckthorn), splashed a couple of tablespoons of the Black Cat absinthe coffee liqueur.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Meanwhile, the flans got ready. The form with flanges needs to be pulled out, completely cooled at room temperature, and then it would be nice to put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Carefully remove the flans from the mold (using a wide flat knife), place on portioned plates, pour over the syrup. You can serve.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Or you can pour it over with strong alcohol and set it on fire (it is more convenient with the help of a cooking burner). I had absinthe. Of course, you can use any other burning alcoholic drink (rum, cognac), but still I will recommend just red absinthe - the aroma is heard at the same time crazy. The taste is charm and piquancy. Very refined and harmonious! I was pleasantly surprised by the result. During burning, the cold dessert warms up on the surface, the berries and syrup are slightly caramelized.
You can start eating when the flame is completely extinguished. Most of the alcohol will burn out in this case, so even in such a serving, dessert is allowed not too young children.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

The flans turned out to be handsome, but because it happened during the day, I did not get a good photo with the flame. Of course, such a dish is best served in the twilight.

----------------------------

I decided to prepare the second part of the dough in the traditional way: in a double boiler. Here's what I ended up with:

Range Mate Microwave Cookware Range Mate Microwave Cookware

The flans turned out to be more liquid, sagging. So the RANGE MATE rules!

---------------------

Well, I will give a translation of the recipe from the recipe to the dishes:

Very interesting. Where can I buy it? I do not know how to use Tao Bao.
ju1ietta
On Ebey there, on Amazon. And Taobao has many Russian offices. for example 🔗 or rf / Buying there is no more difficult than in any Russian online store. However, it will be more expensive to buy through Chinese stores because it is not a Chinese product.
By the way, here is a service that works immediately with Chinese stores and with EBay and Amazon. 🔗 Everything is in Russian.

Ipatiya, these are insidious things - wishlist

Oh, don't tell! This is not a dish, but a dream! It happens that there is no time or energy to cook, but urgently needs to come up with something. Here in minutes you get such a result. Photos are very appetizing and eloquent! Koreans are great! Don't let us relax.
ju1ietta
Eh, if these high-tech gadgets hadn't taken up space in the kitchen and hadn't cost money, it would have been beautiful

It turns out that it is fried and saturated with steam. Cool! The combi steamer works according to the same principle. Only here is the compact version.

Wow, what a thing ... Damn, a new Wishlist has appeared ...

I looked, I could not find it anywhere.
metel_007
Julia, how much does this miracle cost?
ju1ietta
kirch, as I said, in Russia and you will not find.
On Amazon, Ebei and Taobao you can compare:
🔗
You see the prices.
kirch
Thank you. But I didn't find something. The prices are quite reasonable. True, the range of prices is not clear. And you need to find out how much shipping costs
ju1ietta
Lyudmila, prices depend on the importer. It is clear that from the country of origin they are cheaper, and if they first bypassed half of the world to the seller, they will be more expensive. In general, the spread is just small. Separately, different types of saucepans cost about 1.5 tons. A complete set, respectively, about 3 thousand rubles. But in China, all this is much more expensive, because non-Chinese production. I have it written on the instructions that it was made in France (they sent it from the UK, and this is nearby), and on the dishes itself it is written that it was made in Korea. Hence French is only a brand. From Europe and delivery is cheaper.

And I showed this set to my husband. Sits looking now, where is cheaper .....
Julia, How much does he weigh? The whole set is assembled.
ju1ietta
Ksyusha, I won't say for sure, I don't remember, did not weigh, but the dishes themselves are not heavy. In any case, it is much lighter than glass or ceramics. After all, there are mainly plastic, silicone, and some type of composite material. Cover aluminum
lunova-moskalenko
Chot I looked at the prices and realized that I probably would not want to. With our money, it turns out from 400 UAH -350 UAH each saucepan. I'd rather be in a slow cooker and grill to do it all.
ju1ietta
Well, I continue to master this dish. This is how dumplings are cooked in it ...

Asian style dumplings (Har Gou)

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Sprinkle some vegetable oil on the bottom of the Range Mate saucepan.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Place the dumplings in one layer.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Close the lid and put in the microwave oven at maximum power for 10 minutes (I have a 1000-watt microwave).

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

Serve ready dumplings, sprinkle with herbs. The resulting thick broth can be used as a sauce.

Range Mate Microwave Cookware

---------------------------------

By the way, here's how to cook dumplings is suggested in the instructions for the dishes:

Ravioli

1/2 cup water
ground beef
1 onion

Note

900-1300 V: 4 + 6 min.
700-800 V: 5 + 7 min.

Well, this is the original test:

Range Mate Microwave Cookware
kirch
Julia, do you still actively use these dishes? I had the opportunity to get these dishes from Korea. And I am all in dumka - is it necessary or not. I use the microwave mainly for warming up, sometimes I bake a biscuit for the cake. If possible, write down the diameter of the saucepan, otherwise it suddenly won't fit in my stove. And I would like to see what else you cooked
ju1ietta
Luda, outer diameter (including side-handles) 27 cm. I have a small microwave, it fits perfectly. Also, a grill pot (elongated, with a corrugated bottom) fits. I also wrote out a saucepan from the same company specifically for stewing. It comes with double glass (non-metal) lids. Consequently, there is a double thermal effect in it: both from the side of the bottom and the microwaves themselves.

I use this dish, but not fanatically. I just have a lot of gadgets, I don’t get hung up on one thing ... I recently prepared flans in it again. Somehow steamed Chinese buns baked. I want to try ordinary muffins. If I prepare something new, I will report back.
kirch
Thanks for the answer. Does the grill pan differ only in the corrugated bottom? Can I fry in a round saucepan? I was attracted by the fact that you can fry something with a crust.
ju1ietta
Lyudmila, yes, I did fry the fish in an ordinary saucepan. But I wanted something, namely, that the ribbed frying was
kirch
Clear. Is the fish juicy? Have you tried the meat? Sorry to bother, just in doubt
ju1ietta
The fish is VERY juicy. So far I have tried only chicken drumsticks from meat (description in the very first post). The rest of the hands have not yet reached. But I don't have these dishes for long.
Anapchanka
ju1ietta, and the metal part of this dish does not accidentally look like a crisp plate?
ju1ietta
Natasha, I don't know what Crisp Plate is, but I read the following on the Internet: "The Crisp Plate for cooking is used in microwave ovens with grill and convection functions."
So, Range Mate needs ONLY microwaves and nothing but microwaves.
In the open spaces of world commerce, I also found such a device from Range Mate:

You can put your dishes on this pallet and the heating will also go from below.
