Calzone with marinara sauce

Ingredients

For the marinara sauce
Peeled tomatoes 800 g
Garlic (grated horseradish) 3 prongs (50 g)
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
For calzone
Yeast dough 250-280 g
Raw smoked (doctor's) sausage 140 g
Green pepper 1 PC.
Red onion 1/2 pcs.
Mozzarella (or any other hard) 220 g
Lubricating egg 1 PC.
Oregano (oregano) 1/4 tsp

Cooking method

  • For the sauce:
  • Peel the tomatoes, puree with a blender, add salt and sugar, simmer for 10 minutes, add grated horseradish or chopped garlic.
  • Dough can be any yeast. Which one you like. The site has many recipes specific to pizza.
  • Roll out the dough.
  • Put chopped sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers on one half of the dough. Top with grated cheese.

  • Cover the filling with the other half of the dough.
  • Roll the edges and fasten them tightly.
  • Make a few cuts with a sharp knife.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  • Send to an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once done, leave on the table for 5 minutes.
  • Slice and serve with marinara sauce.

Calzone (Italian calzone) - Italian pie, in fact, is a closed form of pizza made in the shape of a crescent. Calzone is a typical dish for the central and southern regions of Italy. In this country, it has other names: panzerotto and panzarotto.
Calzone can be baked and fried in oil.
