Chicken thighs with dried fruits and pineapple (multicooker-pressure cooker Polaris 0305)

Ingredients

Chicken thighs 4-5 pcs.
Light raisins 1/2 stack.
Dark raisins 1/2 stack.
Dried apples 1 stack.
Dried apricots 10-12 pcs.
Canned pineapple 4 rings
Hot ketchup "Heinz" 6-7 st. l.
Salt pepper taste
Seasoning for chicken 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • I took the idea for this recipe from the Food brochure. The recipe was for the oven.
  • I tried chicken with Antonovka, pineapple, dried apricots. But to combine all this and even dry apples and ketchup in one recipe - I have not met this. I took a chance to try.
  • Changed, refined and cooked in a pressure cooker.
  • It turned out very tasty!
  • This is the third time I've cooked this chicken this month! Although before neither son nor husband was in the eating with pleasure Chickens with a slightly sweet taste were not noticed, they like this option.
  • I wanted to share the recipe with you.
  • Cooking.
  • 1. Soak the thighs in water for 1-2 hours. Remove from water, dry well. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with 1 tbsp. l. ketchup.
  • 2. Let stand for 2 to 12 hours. (If in a hurry, use a marinator, 2-3 cycles)
  • 3. Turn on in the pressure cooker program "FRY", pressure - 3.
  • 4. Lubricate the bottom of the pan with literally 1 tsp. vegetable oil (if the chicken is oily, this can be omitted).
  • As soon as the pan heats up, put the thighs skin side down, fry them on one side (this will take about 5 minutes).
  • 5. Disable the program. Remove the pot from the pressure cooker, turn the chicken skin side up, leave to cool.

  • 6. Wash dried fruits, cut pineapple rings into slices.
  • 7. Evenly place half of the raisins, dried apricots, pineapple to the cooled chicken on the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour chicken meat with ketchup (1 tbsp for each thigh) and 1 tbsp. l. pour between the pieces.
  • Top with apples and the rest of the pineapples, dried apricots and raisins.

  • 8. Insert the pot with the workpiece into the device. Let stand with the lid open for 30-60 minutes for easy soaking. (Or immediately set the program and turn on the delay timer for 1 hour)
  • 9. Then close the pressure cooker, set the valve to "Pressure".
  • Exhibit EXTINGUISHING program, pressure - 2, time - 20 minutes.
  • 10. After the signal of readiness to turn off the "PREHEAT", release the pressure, remove the cover. Let the dish brew for 10-15 minutes.
  • 11. Put on plates and chicken and garnish. Serve with fresh rye bread.
  • Cold, the dish is no less tasty!

Note

A very unusual but tasty combination! I was especially surprised by the taste of dried apples soaked in meat juice! Sweet and sour sauce complements the dish well.

So you can cook both chicken legs and just a chicken, cut into pieces.
This dish is also quite suitable for a festive table. I want to surprise my guests with them for the New Year.

My cartoon is not a pressure cooker, so I didn't tyrannize it. In the old-fashioned way, she fried the chicken in a frying pan, covered it with fruit and sent it to the oven to bake.
Since the dish was not intended for a festive table, I boiled rice for a side dish.

Ira, I am very, very pleased that you liked this chicken. The set of products, of course, is exotic, but it is worth the risk of cooking at least once. I think it tastes better in the oven than in a pressure cooker. But I never tried to cook there - I am carcassing in the UK (I simplify my life).

You know, such chicken can be easily cooked in a multicooker without pressure and in the oven.
I cook this recipe very often. I change the ratio and composition of dried fruits as I like (sometimes there is less chicken meat than dried fruits). Pineapples are also not always available, so I either exclude them altogether, or replace them with tangerines, for example. Imagine! This is a recipe successful for a chef's creativity.
