Good afternoon everyone,
today bought MV Scarlett SC410S01 for her husband's grandmother.
I decided to try it first at myself (I myself have been using Panasonic for many years). I washed it, put on the barley milk porridge, and it came out with huge splashes and gurgles. What's wrong? Maybe the check valve is assembled wrong? When you insert it into the cover, you get into the connector. And then you need to turn it? It is very tight, round without protrusions, difficult to insert. Horror! I ought to take her to my grandmother today. Otherwise, we won't get to her for a long time. I went to clean the kitchen.

Laid the outside. No milk and porridge got inside. I put it all together again. Plugged into a power outlet. I pressed the start of the porridge. The timer displayed 45 minutes. I opened the lid and refilled a glass of milk, as there was little liquid. But at the twentieth minutes of the timer, the MV squeaked and went into heating mode. But she never sailed away. She turned it on again.
Could the porridge cooking regime be disturbed by the fact that during cooking porridge I opened the lid and added milk?

AlisaF, it's a pity that you take her so quickly to her grandmother. Otherwise they would have tested it and told us about it here. The fact is that there is no such model on the forum, but it would be interesting.

Apparently, the mode of milk porridge is very hot, you will have to watch

Yes, I have one. I didn't take her away today. If I fail, then my grandmother is 94 years old all the more. Even in spite of the fact that she is an advanced grandmother with us. I will understand.
To all of the above, I will add that the porridge is ready. But I turned on the MV 3 times. For the first time, everything floated over the top (it turned out to be horrible too, now I will scrub it), I had to interrupt the porridge cooking mode.
Launched, turned on, added milk. The MV switched off at about 20 minutes and switched to heating mode.
I started the porridge cooking mode for the third time. But this time, too, MV disconnected at 20 minutes.
In addition, the bottom layer of porridge can easily be called burnt. The crust is not appetizing brown. If I cooked for my children, then such overheating would not suit us. They even call my yellow-orange crust burnt. A lot of porridge had to be thrown away with a burnt layer.
Maybe I started with the wrong porridge. In my Panasonic, wheat on water also sometimes clogs the valve. And barley is similar to wheat in structure and stickiness.
Tomorrow I'll put the whole chicken in it on the Pastry. I will try those recipes that will be available to my grandmother. I really like this version of the chicken. You don't even need to pour water, just rub it with salt and garlic in the MV. An hour and a half and the chicken is ready. Soft and juicy, all the bones fall out of it themselves. I don't know if there is such a recipe here. I will try to write how it ends.

I think yes. A brown crust also indicates overheating. If it floats and burns on other cereals, then I'll hand it back.

I just cooked buckwheat in it. Everything is as usual: 1: 3, salt, sugar. There is no separate mode for buckwheat, like other MBs, in this model. I cooked on the "cereal / porridge" mode for 45 minutes, that is, the same as for milk porridge, which I tried so unsuccessfully yesterday on barley grits.
This time, everything went almost well. Intense boiling with good steam outflow began after about 15 minutes and finally the intensity subsided. This means that it has "brakes" in the heating. It's already good
That's just, if I'm not mistaken, when the board showed that there were 4 minutes left, the MV squeaked and switched to heating mode. We'll have to literally keep an eye on it next time, in order to track the exact time of the shutdown, whether it resets prematurely.
Buckwheat turned out to be crumbly, well boiled. It is generally difficult to spoil it. For those who like not quite crumbly, you can safely cook in a ratio of 1: 4.
What other test to conduct for this CF?
I also confused the cords from this Scarlett model and from Panasonic. They are exactly the same, only the forks are different. Scarlett's plug goes straight down from the outlet, while Panasonic's sticks out of the outlet horizontally. This was the only way I could understand that I had mixed up the cords. Maybe it will be useful to someone.

The overheating protection may have tripped when there is no liquid left.

Today I cooked rice porridge in it. First I put the rice and water. After about 10 minutes, when the water was absorbed, she poured 1 liter of milk and turned on the Porridge / cereal mode again. When there were 34 minutes left, everything began to float again. I had to constantly open and stir for 10 minutes. At the bottom, everything stuck, many crusts formed. And on the 20th minute the MV switched off again. I switched it on again. Boiled again, stirred again, switched off again at the 20th minute. As a result, although the porridge was cooked, the children did not like it because of the crusts.

Yesterday I cooked children's cheese soup in it. On the "Frying" mode I fried the onions, then added the carrots. Then I turned on the "Soup" mode, poured water, added potatoes, sausages and grated processed cheese. Everything worked out great. It turns out that the MV overheats only in the "Porridge / cereal" mode.
I'll try a couple more modes to be sure and then I'll have to change. For the grandmother, the most important modes in her are "Kashi" and "Soup".

I wanted to make baked milk as I usually do in my CF. Put 2 liters for 5 hours in the "Quenching" mode. When the scoreboard was 04:44, the milk came out! This is not normal! Again, wash everything With this CF I have something to do every evening, I constantly wash it, clean it of grains of cereal and milk

Yes, she is not friends with milk and milk porridge

I began to pour milk, found that during these unfortunate 15 minutes a burnt (!) Crust had formed at the bottom of the bowl!
I took the photo. Later I will link the iPhone to this laptop and drop it here.

Today I tried all day to call the warranty department of the online store where they bought the MB, but after waiting on the answering machine for several minutes each time, the phone turned off, as if the call were not answered. I left a request for a call back on the site, but so far no one called.
In the meantime, I tested the MV in 2 more modes.
In a double boiler I prepared a frozen mixture of vegetables. Everything went well, except that the holes in the bowl are too large. Small pieces of vegetables fell through them.
Then in the "Bake" mode I cooked the chicken. I washed the chicken, rubbed it with salt and garlic, put it in the MV, where, just in case, poured half a glass of water. An hour later, she turned the chicken over and cooked for another 15 minutes in the same mode. The chicken turned out to be juicy, soft with a moderate crust in the place where it touched the bowl.

We handed over for diagnostics last week. We are waiting for the result.
My sister-in-law bought a Redmond MV with the function of a pressure cooker, the same problem: he sets the porridge to cook - an hour then washes all the MV.
Vitaok
Panasonic's milk porridge is a pro who has no equal. More precisely, there is, but more expensive than this Scarlett.
AlisaF
That is, it turns out that we will not pick up anything for my grandmother for milk porridge and stewing?
Vitaok
With stewing - yes, but with milk ... Choosing MV (I had to help relatives and friends), I first of all look to see if there is one on the forum, I read what people write about it. If you have any questions about the topics, you can ask the owners around.
Vitaok
I understand that you are from Russia. Read heremay like it. And the volume is 3 liters, and by function. True 2990. To tell a secret I dream about such
AlisaF
Thank you. I read the reviews, I liked the model. And Polaris has good reviews too. We have it a thousand cheaper. We will wait for the results of the examination and make a choice. Thank you so much for the tip.
