Rice with pomegranate

Ingredients

rice 2 cups
pomegranate seeds 1/2 cup
peeled pistachios 1/3 cup
chopped fresh coriander 1 cup
ground coriander 1 tsp
raisins half a pint (0.284 liters)
saffron taste

Cooking method

  • Soak rice with water and salt for a short amount of time. After that, drain the water and boil the rice until it is almost completely cooked.
  • Now we put rice and nuts with pomegranate in a saucepan (or cauldron) in layers: a layer of rice, then a layer of nuts, pomegranate grains and raisins, again a layer of rice and again a layer of nuts, and so on to the top of the pan.

  • Pour saffron dissolved in water over the rice and steam until tender.
