Before the New Year, I made myself a present - I bought a Polaris airfryer. It was bought for the sole purpose of browning baked goods from a multicooker, therefore I chose the model of the smallest volume - it takes up little space, and cartoon baked goods fit perfectly into it. However, as soon as this kid appeared in my kitchen, I immediately wanted to test what he was capable of, and of course I wanted to share the results of these tests with everyone, so I decided to open a separate topic.
Polaris PAG 1207 - not the only 7-liter airfryer, other companies have similar models, as we can see from the example of the models presented above, these are actually twins in design and characteristics. Surely there will be other representatives, I hope that their owners will drop by here to share their experience, but for now I begin my story.
The first thing I did in the airfryer was to check it for what it was bought for - for browning baked goods. I baked buns in a slow cooker and then placed them in an AG flask on the lower wire rack, temperature 225 degrees, time - 8 minutes.

I was very pleased with the result - AG not only gave the buns a beautiful color, but also removed excess moisture from them (we all know that baked goods made from MV are always slightly more moist than from the oven), the crust of the buns turned out to be pleasantly crispy and at the same time not rough, thin.
The next item on the program was to brown the bread, and I am also very pleased with the result.

After that I decided to test my new assistant for cooking fries. She peeled the potatoes, cut them into slices, salted them, added a little seasoning and a little vegetable oil (about 1 tablespoon), mixed them, put them in the deep-fat basket that came with me in the set of Maruchi's multicooker (and I thought that she I never need it, only it takes up space in vain, it turns out - the right thing!), put this basket in the AG on the lower lattice.

I must say right away that the potatoes were fried for a long time, almost an hour, but this is more likely my joint - I was afraid that at high temperatures the potatoes would quickly brown, but inside would remain raw, and set the temperature to 175 degrees, turned on twice for 20 minutes. As a result, the potatoes remained pale, although they were already cooked, and only after I increased the temperature to 225 degrees did they acquire a beautiful golden color. Next time I'll try to fry it at this temperature right away.

Chicken with apples and lemon for the New Year's table.

Do not be afraid of the color of the chicken, it is not burnt, it was my fotik that gave the color.
Despite its modest size, AG perfectly accommodated a chicken weighing 1 kg 300 g, the chicken turned out to be excellent - I have not yet been able to achieve such juiciness either in the oven or in a slow cooker. I can’t even convey how pleased I am with my purchase, I didn’t expect this kid to be a full-fledged helper.

French meat.
What I'm dissatisfied with is that there is not a single baking sheet in the kit. Of course, over time, I will pick up a suitable dish (now the deep fryer basket has fit well, and the silicone mold fits perfectly, I put it on the bottom so that the juice drips into it, the flask will get dirty less), but before NG there was little time, in those stores that I managed to run around, nothing suitable was found, everything is too large, or they offer shapes of a suitable diameter, but too deep. As a result, I bought a small frying pan in the store "all for 38 rubles" in the expectation that I would tear off its handles, but that was not the case ... The frying pan itself is made of thin metal (which in itself is not bad at all, for an airfryer you need thin-walled metal forms), but her handles turned out to be of increased strength, apparently it will not be possible to tear them off or bend them without disfiguring the frying pan itself. Well, somehow I bent them slightly, set this frying pan on the upper grate (at the top, nevertheless, the flask is wider), put an expansion ring, everything worked out.

Congratulations on your Purchase, how much time did it take to cook the meat and chicken? And that there were no utensils in the set at all except for the racks? How does she wash? Does it take a long time to cool before washing?
Lud-Mil @
Irina, thank you!
Yes, there were only two grates and tongs included.
It is easy to clean, I washed the flask with an ordinary detergent under the tap, I won't tell you how much it cools down, because right after cooking in the airfryer I was still busy, and washed it a little later along with all the dishes, it had already cooled down. But if you take certain measures - to cook in foil, in a sleeve, just lay a foil on the bottom of the flask so that juice and fat drip onto it (I adapted a silicone mold for this purpose), then the airfryer practically does not get dirty. I simply wiped the lid with a wet sponge and then wiped it off with a clean towel.
First, the chicken was cooked in the sleeve for 20 minutes on each side, then the sleeve was removed and it took another 20 minutes to give a golden crust (about 10 minutes for the back and breast).
And the meat took only 20 minutes to cook, it was marinated the day before in lemon juice with mayonnaise. It's true there are still potatoes downstairs, I cooked them half-cooked for a couple, I just read it before, the girls wrote that potatoes in AG are cooked for a long time, I cooked vegetables for salads, I decided at the same time to make sure here.

After cooking meat in French, unused pieces remained, I dripped liquid smoke into them, it turned out such meat on skewers.

And today I baked in a cartoon cheese pie, then blushed it in the airfryer. How I love cartoon pies now!

Lud-Mil @,please tell me, how much by weight did you have?
Today, for the first time, from a great mind, I probably laid more kg. Fried for a very long time.
As I understand it, the less the product is by weight, then the roasting is better, right?
Lud-Mil @
Rita, I won't even say approximately, I forgot already. I am usually not guided by weight, but by the fullness of the basket, I am poorly guided by weight, since I have my own potatoes, I never weigh them. But a kilogram is probably a lot, by the way, I also fried for a long time, I wrote already.
Rituslya
Lud-Mil @,yeah, yes, I read that you decided later to change the time and temperature.
Please tell me, do you often use it?

I also look at the "babies", but I can't make up my mind on the choice ... Thank you for the delicious photos. .girl.curtsey.
Lud-Mil @
Well, now there was a post, I practically did not use it. A couple of times I only turned it on when my son came and when my sister and her husband came to shop in order to quickly cook them, they fried sausages on the grill. They turned out to be so appetizing, plump, with a ruddy crust, my sister's husband really liked it, he was interested in why they didn't make them at home. And so generally used, as needed. But I originally bought AG with the aim of browning multi-top baked goods, he does an excellent job with this, and everything else is secondary to me. Everyone wanted to bake something in it, but so far she has not tried it.
But for me, I probably won't be able to orientate myself about how often the grill is used, I now live alone, so I cook accordingly.
Rituslya
Tasha, yeah, the photos are delicious. I just looked, and I immediately wanted to try it.
Lud-Mil @,please tell me, and at what temperature and how long?

This unit was brought to me in the afternoon, and I really want to try and try. I fried potatoes. Fried for a long time. Probably even a very long time. The crust went straight to brown when I set the temperature to 250 degrees. But my son really liked it. He rarely likes anything, but right here with pleasure.
Lud-Mil @
Natalia., thank you, photos are certainly not a masterpiece, and there is not always time for artistic photos, I just try to make them for clarity.
Rita, I went and looked - it costs 250 degrees, I haven't cooked anything since that time. I remember turning the timer for 20 minutes, but got it out a little earlier. So put the same thing and watch the process for the first time, then it will be easier to navigate.
Rituslya
Mila, please tell me, can you change the set time and temperature during the cooking process without turning off the unit?
Lud-Mil @
The temperature is possible, the time is also possible - if you need to increase, but in the opposite direction, to decrease, it seems like it is not recommended to turn the timer, it is better to just turn off the handle earlier, raise the handle, the AG and turn off, and the timer itself then stops idling.

I have already thrown out the box.
like . very comfortably . I like its compactness, in contrast to the large airfryer.
and the halogen element is also more convenient than that of my large airfryer.

Mila, so I also thought about this basket and since 2012 I have a new such thing, from Redmond. Now I got it out, washed it for the first time and I will try to cook the same potatoes as in the photo. Well, I have no imagination, until I see a thread from someone. Thanks for the idea!

Here, I tried to cook potatoes in a basket. I also added a little sausage with cheese 3 minutes before the end of cooking. Tasty, liked it.

I did not cook in a large airfryer, but with the help of the Redmond 240 lid. Very comfortably.
