Bulgur
Subtleties of cooking bulgur in clay:

1. Taking less water for those who love crumbly is risky, you need to watch out so that it does not burn.
2. Porridge after shutdown reaches amazingly.
3. AMAZING TASTY !!!!!!!!!

Summer resident
BULGUR - what kind of animal is this? Well, what they eat it with is already clear
* kisena
Summer resident , these are wheat grains after heat treatment with water, drying, bran cleaning and then crushed.
Bulgur

I really like wheat groats in bags of TM "Zhmenka" for recipes with bulgur, as I have never met a tastier wheat groats.
Bulgur
julifera
I cooked from this beast:

🔗

And also with bulgur there are many chickpea recipes

But the bulgur itself is so tasty that my son even remarked to me: "Uh, he says, yes, not any meat will go here."
To which I replied that meat no longer fits with such a dish, it is simply superfluous.
* kisena
julifera, in an amicable way I envy you.
We still do not have products of this brand on sale, and their assortment does not give me rest
Today I still cooked it with meat (I stewed pork with carrots + tomato-paste, coffee), but I also prefer it without meat, with the addition of homemade cream to the finished bulgur.

And we sell wheat groats - is that different?

And we sell wheat groats - is that different?

I don't know how the cereal that Kisena wrote about never took, but ordinary wheat of different grinding is not quite right ...

From wikipedia:
"Bulgur is sometimes confused with uncooked crushed wheat, and even with couscous."

And now I know the taste of bulgur - it is not the same as that of wheat, it is much tastier

Although earlier ordinary wheat porridge (different grinds, the taste was still almost the same) was my favorite, now after bulgur it has gone down one position in my rating
julifera
Kisena, I bought such Poltava groats from Zhmenka.
Delicious, but slightly different in taste, maybe due to the fact that it is too small.

I still have wheat for germination - I wonder how it will be cooked ... I will have to look in the internet
* kisena
julifera , well, at least tasty and that's good.
I would also try another one - larger, but I didn’t come across, and purposefully didn’t look for it.
But thanks for the opinion
Atlantis
As far as I know, this is the Bulgarian name for wheat porridge, which is delicious. I take "Arnautka" to Silpo, it turns out great

julifera
Here bulgur just with butter, just washed this plate

As you can see, this is far from being an arnaut:

It's like the oatmeal we all know - in cereal, I don't like it, even though it's terribly healthy.

And there is oatmeal with whole grains, you can't just buy it here (again, the Bogatyrskaya Fair) - and this porridge is simply flawless and to taste - heaven and earth compared to cereals.
* kisena
julifera, we now have bulgur on almost every corner
The most favorite and most delicious cereal for me.
Now I don’t look in the direction of cous-kus - I don’t like it after bulgur

Similarly
And she also saves me when I feel very, very bad, I can only eat her

And the second pack of couscous lies unopened, waiting for us to get tired of everything and everything and we will remember about it for a change
Elenka
julifera , thanks for the educational program on bulgur. I have been looking at it for a long time (namely TM "Yarmarka"), now I will definitely buy it. I just adore such cereals. I thought that ordinary wheat porridge, why overpay for it.

Now I don’t look in the direction of cous-kus - I don’t like it after bulgur
Maybe in the subject or not. I will say ...
I agree with sour, couscous is simply prepared quickly and without problems, well, just like "Mivina". There was a case recently, I was just dying, I wanted a couscous. I knocked my teeth down.
A semolina with a strange aftertaste .... for an amateur.
* kisena
julifera, only a year has passed
I never thought that there would be a holiday on our street.

As an analogue, almost 98% is similar (much more than wheat Zhmenka) yet wheat groats (I forgot the name, I haven't bought it for a long time) - groats from ATB.
It is also in portioned packages and the kernels are large.
Only for the price, if you count it, it is not much cheaper than bulgur from Fair.
Elenka69 I used to need it like air too
LenaV07
And I really liked this cereal

Bulgur

And the price is quite affordable ...

julifera
For lovers of oatmeal in grains (I myself)

Bulgur

If you don't come across, then you can call the sales department 🔗 and ask for phone numbers of dealers. I did so.
julifera
LenaV07

Bulgur has not yet reached us from Goodness. But I bought their oatmeal just a week ago at a local market stall.
8.50 UAH for an 800 gram pack, all the same this is not 25 UAH for the Fair.
Even daddy put it on her
So far, I haven't seen the Dobrodiya series in supermarkets at all.

I'm here word for word with * Kisenoy I thought - less than a year has passed since the Fair Bulgur reached Kiev, so not even a year has passed since the democratic Dobrodiyny will reach us

I respect this attitude to business - a good description of all products, even the composition of each type of bread produced was painted, and they were not too lazy to take high-quality photos, well done
* kisena
Lena we with julifera as if from another planet
I, too, have not met Dobrodiya with us.
Did you find them on the market or in some particular market?
Oatmeal is simply gorgeous in appearance
LenaV07
kisena
I found a point in the market, they have a whole line of "healthy food" But before that, in order not to scour the city, I found out the phone number of the dealers, phoned them and it turned out that they would deliver what interests them on order. The only condition is to take the packaging. I don’t know how much bulgur is in a package, but buckwheat is 10 packs, flour (1 kg) is also 10 packs per pack. I think that these products must be available in Kiev. ABOUT! If I am not mistaken, then in "Kishen" I met porridge ... Bulgur was not released then ...
* kisena
Thank you, Lena!
I'll look in "Kishena", they often have good cereals
izumka
julifera , we do not have bulgur in stores, but I saw "Zhmenka". But what about the sachets, boil them directly or pour them into butter and then follow the recipe?

izumka
Yes, pour in, the fried will have a slightly different taste
Elenka
I bought Bulgur! I will try one of these days. By the way, in Amstor there is also Bulgur in bags for cooking in yellow boxes, it seems like fairs too, but the bags are tiny at 65g.
The recipe on the package is interesting - with meat and chickpeas, I want to try. Only with what kind of meat? I thought ...
I also bought a mixture of legumes, so bright and beautiful and the recipe on a pack of chicken fillets is very cute.

Elenka69 - class
I haven’t tried chickpea with bulgur with meat yet, I wonder how delicious it will turn out
Natashik
juliferathank you for telling me about it!
very tasty groats, unobtrusive, such a pleasant taste !!!
Made with turkey - a delicacy right.
kolenko

Lena - and for what weight is this price? If this is a Fair of 300-350 grams, then it’s expensive, and if for a kilogram, then tomorrow I’ll go to our Metro, suddenly they brought us
kolenko
julifera! yes, fair, weight - 400g. Buckwheat from some frightened producers per kg at this price
Yes, a little expensive, but sometimes you can indulge
Ksyu-juha
Thanks for the reminder of delicious porridge
Before that, they took couscous, and then they caught sight of the bulgur, they just took it pure, it was also with herbs and pepper, very tasty and tender.
I just boil - probably at least one to four, and butter and salt. So delicious with meat or salad.
Erhan
Today we also have bulgur for a side dish. I usually do the laziest option - in a slow cooker I fry a glass of washed bulgur in a slow cooker in ghee until crumbly, fill it with two glasses of hot water and put it on the "pilaf" mode. At the end of the program, I put a spoonful of butter, stir and leave to simmer on the heating for two hours. The result is a crumbly side dish for meat with sauce.
The mother-in-law often adds boiled green lentils and tomato paste. It turns out very tasty.

I'll try in a slow cooker and fry, it's interesting to cook in a very new way.
Taia
I like this option, among others: cook bulgur, add a little butter and raisins at the end of cooking. Delicious for breakfast or dinner.
Ksyu-juha
Taia, Taichka Thanks for another option, I will definitely try, look and mine will like it. It is necessary to expand the list of cereals and options, otherwise we have il with butter or stewed with meat.
