Scottish herring goulash (Steba DD1)

Ingredients

Fresh frozen herring 1 kg
Bulb onions 500 g
Wheat flour 2st. l.
Water 150 g
Parsley 1 bundle
Lemon juice 2st. l.
Salt pepper taste
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Free herring from skin and bones. I got 600 g of fillet. Fillets can be used initially.
  • Cut the fillets into cubes, drizzle with lemon juice, stir.
  • Finely chop the onion. I rubbed Philips (julienne insert) on an electric grater.
  • Finely chop the parsley.
  • For cooking, we use a Teflon bowl, it will burn to a stainless steel.
  • Switch on the Fry program (default time 15 minutes), after the signal add oil, add onion, sprinkle with flour and fry until soft for 5 minutes. Then add water, season and simmer, stirring until the end of the program.
  • Put the herring, parsley in a bowl, mix. Fish program. The default pressure and time is 07.7 minutes.
  • After the end of the program, the steam was forced off.
  • More than anything, I dislike: 1. washing windows and 2. defrosting the refrigerator ... in a whisper: and I do it very rarely. I always prepare myself mentally for these events for a long time .. and not always successfully.)) Just the other day, while there was a severe frost, I nevertheless pulled myself together and completed point 2. In the bowels of the freezer, I found a package with frozen herring. For what and when I bought it, I don't remember, so I had to compose words as the play went. I was afraid that there would be a taste from the old fat and in vain! It turned out surprisingly tasty! The photo, of course, is not very artistic, but this time there was no time at all, therefore, purely informative.)

... About the refrigerator. I used to hate defrosting it too, until the steam cleaner appeared. Now defrosting with washing takes a maximum of one hour. Ice leaves very quickly, it is easy to wash with steam, everything is washed very cleanly, plus de-infection. Try it, it will change the attitude to point 2 radically

Here, lemon juice should be sprinkled. When I cook fish with lemon, I don't choke on the smell. Probably lemon somehow neutralizes the fishy spirit.
