Corn flour (buckwheat) 1 st
Oatmeal flakes 0.5 st
Sugar 0.5 st
Kefir 1 st
Vegetable oil 0.5 tbsp (slightly less)
Soda 0.5 tsp
Flaxseed, soaked 1 tablespoon boiling water 1 tsp (optional)
Dried fruits, bran optional

Cooking method

  • My kids are allergic to wheat flour and eggs. I experiment a lot with sweet pastries, because I want to pamper both the sweet tooth and the older child, the younger is still on the GW. For a long time on the forum, I decided to post the result of my experiment.
  • I soaked half a glass of oatmeal with kefir for half an hour. 1 tsp I poured flax seeds with boiling water (I made the first cake without, the second with flax seed, I didn't notice the difference, but I read that this mucus replaces eggs in baked goods). Add sugar, vegetable oil to the flakes, mix. Add flour mixed with baking soda. Baked with buckwheat and corn, we liked it. Mix. Add bran, dried fruit if desired. You can even remove the flakes if you are allergic to gluten, and replace them with flour.

Thanks for the recipe! The cornmeal made a wonderful cake. There was no flaxseed, replaced it with a spoonful of flaxseed flour. But with buckwheat flour did not work out very well. The dough is very thick, like plasticine. Maybe you took buckwheat flour in different proportions?
