Onion Jam with Dried Fruit (Steba DD1)

Ingredients

peeled red onion 500 g
vegetable oil 4 tbsp. l.
Apple juice 200 ml
prunes 60 g
raisins 60 g
balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp. l.
sugar 1 tbsp. l.
salt 1/2 tsp
ground nutmeg pinch
ground cinnamon pinch

Cooking method

  • 1. Chop the onion into half rings, turn on the Frying mode, pour oil into a Teflon bowl and add the onion and salt, fry, stirring occasionally, until the onion begins to change color and slightly caramelize (about 10 minutes).
  • 2. Add washed dried fruits and the rest of the ingredients, close the lid and turn on the Simmering mode for 1 hour 88 deg.
  • 3. At the end of the program, open the lid and turn on the Fry mode to evaporate the remaining liquid.
  • Transfer hot to a dry jar, store in the refrigerator.
