Express baking of Napoleon cake layers using the Tortilla Maker (Chapatnitsa) and the oven

Ingredients

Wheat flour 2 tbsp.
Butter 140 g
Ice water 0.5 st
Salt 2 pinches

Cooking method

  • The idea to bake cakes in a chapatnitsa came to mind even before it appeared in our house. At the forum, this idea was also voiced (in particular, Snowflake), after which I was even more confirmed in this intention. So the collective mind triumphs here !!!
  • Having practiced on various cakes, it became clear that the cakes would be flattened, which, in principle, is not scary for the "Napoleon" cake, since it is still pressed down after the layer of cakes and kept under a small load.
  • But I also wanted to make the cooking process easier and get the result close to the usual.
  • This was achieved by combining the rolling (I would even say crushing) of the cakes in a preheated chapatnice and their subsequent baking in the oven.
  • Now I have only a microwave oven with convection function at hand, so I baked the rolled cakes in it one by one. In a normal stationary oven, 4 - 6 cakes will settle on a baking sheet at the same time, respectively, the process will accelerate significantly !!!!!!!
  • We preheat the oven to 200 gr.
  • - We prepare the dough for the cakes according to your favorite recipe, but we make it a little softer than usual and form balls with a diameter of 4.5 cm, then flatten them into thick cakes and send them to the freezer.
  • Express baking of Napoleon cake layers using the Tortilla Maker (Chapatnitsa) and the oven
  • - During this time, we warm up the device and begin to bake the cakes one by one. The dough for the cake is fatter than for flat cakes, so we hold the crust that begins to flatten with a spatula, driving it to the middle almost until the very top of the appliance is closed.
  • Express baking of Napoleon cake layers using the Tortilla Maker (Chapatnitsa) and the oven
  • - As soon as the cake has flattened into a cake, open the chapatit, wait a few seconds and use a spatula to transfer the cake to a baking sheet. We put the maximum number of cakes (I have, unfortunately, only one fits here) and bake until ready.

  • (I passed the first cake in a chapatnice, which can be seen along the edges of the cake in the oven - then things went better.
  • As a result, we get a stack of small cakes in the shortest possible time !! No flour, no board, no rolling pin, no rolling! And the result is just wonderful !!
  • In the photo, the cakes are baked with one chapatit and with a chapatit and an oven.

  • You can, of course, limit yourself to one chapatnica when baking, but the cakes from it turned out to be not so airy and even damp in the middle (well, like cakes usually).
  • I really liked the method of combining the Tortill Maker with the oven, so I advise you to try it, using your favorite recipe for Napoleon cake.
  • Bon appetit and easy life for all forum users !!!

The dish is designed for

12-13 cakes

Note

The dough was made by eye, butter-custard cream on the yolks from the book for the Robot Da Cucina Baby Meal Chicco De'Longhi & Me processor. I did the cream in it.
I apologize for the quality of the photo - this is what my tablet gives out in these conditions. I will correct it later when repeating the process.

mur_myau
While I was writing, the recipe was already corrected.))
Thanks for the method. Another reason to want a chapatnitsa.
Rada-dms
mur_myau, I just really wanted to at the dacha of "Napoleon" It's a good thing, and cakes help out, in this heat you don't want to bake bread, and cakes are even a more useful substitute.
ang-kay
You should have thought of this! Class.
SnieZhinka
Rada-dms, uraaaa! you made my dream come true! all the same it is real! Thank you very much for the experience, I will be instructing you, I have already presented how it can be done quickly! chapatnits rule!
but I never got there, I got stuck looking for a recipe, and then somehow the brownie maker and the cupcake maker and the pop maker arrived at the same time, in general, I was at a loss in my own assortment, now I line them up in order to test everything)
tell me the size of such a cool little cake-krahotulka? Yes? or a normal drink for two seagulls?
Rada-dms
SnieZhinka, thanks for supporting the idea! And absolutely normal cake, well, like, from "Palych" size - and I have not yet got used to baking cakes all the whole size. Ideally, it should be 20 cm in diameter !!! You can bake the cakes for a full dose, and then smear them with a gap of a week, or immediately with different creams, or you can take one for yourself, one for a visit!
My recipe for cakes is the most primitive, so bake your favorite and make cakes a little more crispy in the oven;)
I have about the same situation with devices, almost the same assortment!
Rada-dms
ang-kay, "If you want to live, you will not be so hot" (in the field conditions of summer cottages for demolition;)
Thank you !!!

On the forum you need to open the topic: "a list of wishes for a beginner deviceaholic"
and the whole list there), like we start to disperse from cupcakes of different types, then chapatnitsa, in between the case of a grater-ham-noodle cutter)
do not forget about the pizza maker, and they will switch to combines with different kinds of cartoons ... in the end they will get rid of coffee machines and milk frothers ...
Rada-dms
SnieZhinka.. yes, exactly, just a list !! With the ability to change the number "Wishlist" - it is necessary to form an information space !!!
mur_myau
There is a theme, girls.)) "Buy Abashdi".)))

And also "Kitchen stuff".

Everything is formed there. I want or have half of the things from there.
Rada-dms
mur_myauI'm afraid to go there
mur_myau
Rada-dms,
Praaaaalna.))) Money is more whole, and the nerves of a man.
I'm like that cat. I was afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but nothing - I got involved.
Rada-dms
mur_myau, I will say in a whisper: "I practically have everything, except for spiromat" My husband is the first to wrap such departments abroad in such departments;) I even have a pick for extracting seeds from watermelons - when there are guests, I always win the game with her. ... guess what it is ?.
Rita
Rada-dms, why did your avatar suddenly become inhuman?
mur_myau
Rada-dms,
I got a miracle grater here, like a sharpener, it really makes curls. Cuts even very soft vegetables like avocado or banana. Spiromat became very sick.

What does a watermelon pick looks like? If it `s not a secret.

I found several suppliers for chapatnits on the Internet, I don't know who to choose. Who did you buy from?
Rada-dms
Rita, and which one did I have? : girl-th: This is not the first time they write to me! I have. there was none at all! I wrote from the tablet at first :) Or is something automatically displayed here at registration?
Rada-dms
mur_myau, a miracle worker in the studio, plizz! I'll take a picture of the pick from the house!
Address in a personal, maybe you have it!

mur_myau, Elena what? Maybe I will no longer need spiromat either ...
Rada-dms
GuGu, I think there is no spiromat for daily use, but I still want it !! pickle something!
Rada-dms
kokoshka, to speak. about technology, it’s not out of love, but rather out of impossibility now it does without these devices
- kitchen processor Kenwood 010, with attachment 🔗 (here you also have grinding and grating, mixing, dough, etc.), if there is no such combine, you need to look for something separately by the type of such a nozzle!
- robot da cucina baby meal chicco @ delonghi
- pressure cooker - Oursson multi-cooker
- screw juicers
- chapatnitsa
- hand blender Kenwood with potato grinder
Separately, there is an air fryer !!!! We love it very much !!!! Especially in winter, shashlik, potatoes, guests go to it !!

The photo is just below - I found a lot of places on the network for sale, but I personally took it in a regular store. It is not shown in the photo, but a glass with a convenient removable bottom and lid.So it protects your hands from the blades, it is convenient to hold and make chips directly into the plate. Or store it right in a mug.

No, not like that. You sent a link - there is cheaper chapatnitsa. Thank you! I am waiting for the feedback in what form it was sent. Something the seller has a low rating.

I have a Deckel, the set includes two replaceable graters of different sizes + finger protection and a glass into which the "sharpeners" are inserted. It cost 200 rubles !!!

The spirals are obtained with a square section, and so are the correct curls.
You can make "nests" or cook different vegetables like spaghetti. On steam - best of all, they retain their shape and do not boil over.
Kokoschka
thanks for the answer Rada-dmseveryone dreams of Kenwood
I also adore the chapatit and the air fryer.
Do you have a Philips or another air fryer?

Don't tell. I'm on vacation unloading now. Instead of flour (pasta), I make myself all sorts of interesting things from pumpkin, zucchini and carrots for a side dish. The sauce is so great.
And also a spiromat for those who are not allowed anything with gluten.

I did not try to marinate, I am satisfied with the usual cutting on other graters.
By the way, I also want to say. The photo under the link is advertising. The shavings in the photo are short, like from a normal grater, about 5 cm.If you slowly twist a large carrot or, say, a piece of squash, pumpkin - you get a long curl, I can pull up to 15-20 cm if I try. Then it winds like a spiral. And short - like on a simple grater.
OLYUSHA M
This is certainly interesting, but where in Moscow to buy a chapatnitsa ???
Kokoschka
Bought on ebee separately and in a joint purchase with Lily (Malva)
OLYUSHA M
THANK YOU.
Ilona
Now I want her even more, this chapatnitsa!
Kokoschka
Ilona, buy you will not regret it, one of the most beloved devices! (who would have thought .....)
Rada-dms
kokoshka, oh, I didn't notice the question! I have phillips, which is small!;)
Rada-dms
mur_myau, just now I found time to consider your dexel, maybe you don't need to buy expensive? How long does it last and isn't it hard to turn it around for rubbing?
Kokoschka
Rada-dms, on the air fryer in her topic I will ask a question

You need to turn it like a regular sharpener. Or twist a vegetable inside.
I bought it not so long ago, and not half a year. Let's see what happens next. While the sharpener copes with the tasks.
