Cooking method

  • First, set the broth to cook - pour a whole piece of beef into half of the bowl with water and set the prog. Jellied meat 30 minutes, pressure 3, while the broth is boiling, you can cut the vegetables and fry the onion + tom. pasta - make a dressing (I fried on the stove) at the end of the program, you can slowly release the pressure yourself by opening the lid - take out a piece of beef and the mode into portioned pieces - put it back into the broth and add the ingredients; cabbage, carrots (grated), medium-coarsely chopped potatoes, rustic frozen vegetables, beets (grated), salt to taste, bay leaf, spices., add water to the soup mark, season borscht (tomato paste + fried onions). We close the lid and put on the prog. Soup, pressure 2, time 15 min. You can relieve the pressure yourself, or you can wait until you relieve yourself. All borscht is ready! Bon Appetit!
  • P / S You can pre-boil the beets and grate them on a coarse grater. Yes, I used frozen beef, did not defrost it)))

I cook borscht in MV much easier. I put everything at the same time: I put the prepared meat on the bottom (a piece of chicken, pork or turkey), top it up with vegetables as they are cut - carrots, onions, beets, root celery, potatoes, tomatoes (dried in winter), cabbage, greens. When everything is chopped, I salt, season, fill with water to the desired level and put soup on the program - 1.5 hours. Oddly enough, during this time everything has time to cook and nothing is digested! I especially like to leave borscht for delayed cooking, I put it in the morning, before work, and put it out for dinner.

Recipe BORSCH WITH PORK.

We take the defrosted pork meat - the mode into pieces, put it in a bowl (or pre-fry it with onions in the bowl), I fry the onion on the stove - so it seems faster to me, the potato mode is large, carrot mode, cabbage, tomato, in short, what vegetables are put in add a bowl of water, salt -2 heaped teaspoons (you can add more salt later to taste) + spices.
We put on the Soup program -30 minutes - high pressure.

I also grated the beets separately and stewed them (on the stove for 2 minutes), when the Borsh with pork is ready - open the pressure cooker and put in the beets - then close the lid - and it costs 15 minutes so that the beets are ready.
Yes, in principle, you should try to put it this way without first stewing the beets - all the same, the borscht is hot in it and the beets should go like this - while it is in the pressure cooker.

Irina, beef and vegetables are cooked for different times under pressure, so you cannot cook borsch with beef with one tab. The pressure cooker is not a cartoon.
But with chicken or pork pieces it is possible.

Can I insert 5 kopecks too? I ALWAYS put whole peeled beets in borscht in a pressure cooker, even large ones. I cook in soup for 30 minutes, then I take out the beets and throw them into cold water for a couple of minutes, take them out, rub them on a coarse grater and put them in a saucepan, let them brew for 5 minutes and that's all ... With this method of cooking, the beets do not boil, they only literally discolor 3 mm of the top layer, and the borscht turns out to be a rich beetroot color.

I’m pre-cooked beets in a double boiler in a c / in on a coarse grater and fry them a little in vegetable oil with tomato paste, pouring a little broth from a saucepan with borscht. I acidify the borscht itself a little with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, put a little sugar in the borscht. When the beets are fried, I dip them a little into the borscht, I don't let the borscht boil (the pressure cooker is off) and I taste what else I need to add salt-sugar. I let it brew for 20-30 minutes. Borscht turns out to be of a rich burgundy color. I put garlic and greens along with beetroot roast, and in carrot and onion roast I put pickled tomatoes, punched in a blender, which makes the borscht acquire a unique taste. I cook my borscht in the Orson-5002 pressure cooker.
