Chili con carne by Bernard

Ingredients

Minced beef, fat min. 15% 700 g
Olive oil 2 tbsp. l.
Red onion 2 pcs.
Garlic 7 tooth.
Red pepper 1 PC.
Green pepper 1 PC.
Red tomato 2 pcs.
Tomatoes, pickled and peeled 700 gr.
Red beans (already cooked) 750 gr.
Cumin powder 2 tbsp. l.
Powdered cinnamon 2 boxes l.
Herbal mix ,, 4spices ,, 1 box l
Marjoram 2 boxes l.
Paprika powder 1/2 box l.
Salt 1 box l.
Chilli 1-2 pcs.

Cooking method

  • Chile, chili con carne (Spanish chili con carne) or as I call him Chile Fool, I fell in love with me back in Mexico. Tasty and healthy. Be sure to try cooking it. I borrowed this recipe from Bernard, translated from French into Russian and ... for beans lovers, it can become one of the most delicious dishes!
  • Preparation:
  • We start by finely chopping the garlic cloves. Squeeze in oil over medium heat until light brown.
  • Add meat to garlic.
  • Finely chop the onion.
  • Cut the peppers into small cubes (no grains!).
  • Add the onion to the meat when the meat is almost fried. We interfere regularly. Add the peppers.

  • We peel the tomatoes (cut the skin and immerse it in boiling water for a few seconds, then in ice cold water. Cut into pieces and add to the dish.
  • Add peeled tomatoes in their own juice, along with the juice.
  • Now add all the spices.
  • Leave to decrease in volume for half an hour, over low heat, stirring regularly.
  • Then add the beans without water.

  • Stir well and cook for as long as possible over moderate heat. The more this dish is cooked, the better it will be.
  • If the chili becomes too "sticky" then add water.
  • Bernard cooked for 4 hours and 30 minutes! I'm much less of course;) about 2 hours. I cooked in the oven at 150 degrees.
  • If the water boils away, feel free to add more the next day to warm it up!
  • You can add coriander greens or others.

Note

Caraway - I don't like it and that's why I replaced it with Indian cumin.
I don’t know such a mixture of 4species, so I added it to my liking.
This is a really delicious dish. For spicy lovers, adjust the amount of chili. I added 2 pieces ... Why deny yourself a loved one?
You can buy beans ready-made in a jar, but I prefer to cook it myself. Don't forget to pre-soak overnight!
Don't be intimidated by lengthy cooking. We did it, put it in the oven and forget it ... Just glance periodically and stir! :)
