Apricot jam

Ingredients

apricots 1,5kg
granulated sugar 750gr
gelatin (loose) 6 ÷ 8 st. l.
apricot liqueur 6 ÷ 8 st. l.
apricot kernels 6 ÷ 8 pcs

Cooking method

  • Wash apricots, remove pits. Cut into slices 5 ÷ 7mm, add sugar, nucleoli and gelatin.
  • Cover the dishes and put them in a cold place overnight (I put them in the refrigerator)
  • Apricot jam
  • In the morning, stirring gently, bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for no more than 3 minutes. Add liquor to the mass.
  • Pour the finished confiture into jars and roll up and put the lids down for 15 ÷ 20 minutes.
  • Apricot jam
  • After cooling, you can immediately - on the table!

The dish is designed for

yield (approx.) 3.2 l (from double portion, 3kg apricot)

Note

I have been making confiture for many years. Eats up instantly!

The liqueur is old, I use it only for confiture. It is really peachy, but very aromatic.

bukabuza, I have never done it without adding. When there was no liquor, I added vodka (taking into account the strength, reduced the amount to 2-3 tablespoons) with apricot essence. I think you can do without liquor, only it will turn out to be something different, albeit tasty

I put the whole nucleoli. I dilute gelatin with cold water in advance (1-2 hours) according to the instructions on the sachet and then pour it with a regular tablespoon from a glass. I spent the whole glass for 3 kg of apricots.
