Uncle Ben's with zucchini

Ingredients

Ripe tomatoes 2 Kg
squash 2 Kg
Bulgarian pepper 2-3 pcs
vegetable oil refined 0.5 st
salt 2.5 tbsp. l.
sugar 1.5 tbsp
black peppercorns 6 pcs.
carnation 2 pcs
vinegar 1 tsp
garlic 1 slice

Cooking method

  • Ripe tomatoes, peel and finely chop or crush with a blender, 2 kg of zucchini (of any ripeness), peel and seeds and cut into small slices, cut the peppers into small strips.
  • Mix tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, vegetable oil, salt and sugar, add pepper and cloves and cook for 30 minutes. from the moment of boiling.
  • Add a slice of grated garlic and 1 tsp. vinegar, wait a minute to boil again, put in sterilized jars, roll up.
  • Wrap the overturned cans in a blanket for 2-3 hours.

The site has long had a recipe with this name and even with the same ingredients, but after carefully comparing them, I realized that the taste, and the cooking process itself, is clearly different.
The salad according to this recipe turns out to be slightly sweet, suitable both as a side dish and as a snack.
