Ingredients

For the test:
flour 375 g
butter 250 g
eggs 4 things
sugar 250 g
salt pinch
baking powder 1 sachet
milk 5 tbsp. l.
rum (cognac) 4 tbsp. l.
cocoa 3 tbsp. l.
hot water 3 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Remove the food from the fridge one hour before cooking, as room temperature food mixes well with each other.
  • Separate the yolks from the proteins.
  • Pour one third of the sugar onto the yolks.
  • Pour hot water on top and immediately start stirring, gradually adding sugar until it dissolves.
  • Melt the butter. Only it shouldn't be hot.
  • Spoon the butter into the egg mass.
  • Add milk, stir.
  • Add rum or cognac
  • Sift the flour with baking powder and mix everything.
  • Beat the egg whites with salt, add to the dough and mix gently with a fork (bottom to top).
  • Grease the ring mold with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs or semolina and put half of the dough into it.
  • Add cocoa to the second part and mix gently too.
  • Put in a mold, mix the dough layers with a fork in a circle.

Time for preparing:

50-60 minutes

Note

The top of the cake can be decorated with chocolate icing if desired.
