nutmeg 1 tsp
beer 50 g
garlic 2 cloves

Cooking method

  • The invention of poor Swiss peasants is parading around the world. You can find many different fondue recipes: in Italian, in French, etc.
  • In Germany, unlike Switzerland, they like to add beer to fondue. And one of the types of cheese or part of it can be replaced with smoked.
  • Grate the cheese on a medium-sized grater.
  • Melt the butter in a fondyushnitsa (I have Gipfel), fry the onion and garlic in it and remove it.
  • Milk will take their place.
  • While it is heating, mix the beer with cornstarch in a bowl, add nutmeg.
  • Send everything to the fondue.
  • Pour grated cheese there. We interfere.
  • To stir the cheese mass, I use a wooden stick for Japanese cuisine, since the mass should be stirred by writing out an eight. And doing it with a stick is more convenient.
  • Cut the bread into pieces. I pre-dry it in a Steba pressure cooker.
  • Chop sausages, sausage and bacon. Prick bread with meat pieces onto the forks and dip in the cheese.

Yulia, I first do everything in the iron pot. When the cheese melts well and the mass becomes homogeneous and boils, then I put it on the burner. The fire is not big in the burner, just to keep the mass hot.
