sugar 50 g
vanilla sugar 1 sachet
eggs 1-2 pcs
cottage cheese 500 g
baking powder 1 tsp
starch 50 g
Besides:
canned apricots
almond petals
clear jelly for pouring
mint chocolate chips
sugar 30 g

Cooking method

  • German Apricot Curd Pie (Aprikosen Quark Kuchen)
  • Among the German dishes, there are many pastries with fruits and berries. I highly recommend trying this very tender, not sugary and delicious cake.
  • Whisk the melted butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs.
  • Sift flour with baking powder and salt, adding to the egg mass in small portions, alternately with milk.
  • Grease the form and lay out the dough.
  • Put the dough in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  • In the meantime, use a blender to beat all the ingredients for the curd coating.
  • Put the apricot halves in a colander.
  • Gently remove the pie pan from the oven and spread the curd mass on the surface.
  • Spread out the apricot halves.
  • Sprinkle with almond petals.
  • Put in the oven again.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.
  • While the finished cake is cooling, prepare the apricot filling:
  • Pour the contents of the cake pouring bag into a saucepan.
  • Add 30 g sugar and about 150 ml apricot juice from the jar where the apricots were.
  • Stir and bring to a boil over a fire. The mass should look like a liquid jelly.
  • Pour the cake evenly.
  • After the filling has cooled, sprinkle with mint chocolate chips. If there is no such shavings, then chopped pistachios.
  • Pour the cake evenly
