Ingredients

flour 250 g
milk 60 g
fresh yeast 10 g
butter 25 g
yolk 1 PC
salt pinch
jam, plum jam (any is possible) 150 g
steamed poppy (I have 50 g) taste
powdered sugar taste

Cooking method

  • I found, in my opinion, very interesting Austrian steamed pastries. This is a recipe for a large "dumpling". But what a!
  • Spicy, aromatic, and even in a creamy sauce and covered with a thick layer of poppy seeds.
  • We combine warm milk, yeast and sugar. We are waiting for the yeast to start working, then add the yolk, flour and melted butter to the mixture.
  • We knead the dough. It must be elastic. I had to add 4 tbsp. spoons of milk.
  • We remove the resulting kolobok in a warm place for 1 hour. Then we divide the bun into 5-6 parts and roll each into a cake.

  • We pinch the edges, leave in proofing for 30 minutes.
  • Now you can put our buns into the basket of the steamer at a short distance. Cooking for 25-30 minutes. Austrian germ week in a double boiler
  • Densely grease the finished warm dumplings with steamed poppy seeds (I have pre-ground in a coffee grinder), mixed with powdered sugar and pour over with creamy sauce. Austrian germ week in a double boiler
  • I have a caramel sauce with added alcohol - fruit infused rum - Rumtopf (rum pot).
