Ingredients

boiled milk 2 l
ready-made yogurt 400 ml

Cooking method

  • Cool boiled milk to 45 degrees, add ready-made yogurt as a starter. Cover the dishes with milk and wrap in a towel.
  • Boil water between the walls of the milk cooker, set aside for 10-15 minutes, place the container with milk together with a towel in a hot milk cooker, at the beginning of the process the temperature between the cloth and the wall of the milk cooker is 70 degrees. Hot water gradually cools down instead of a thermos. In the evening, we received 2.4 liters of dense natural yogurt, absolutely without snotty and without whey, sugar was hardly mixed in.Yogurt in a milk cooker

Note

I have a ready-made yoghurt starter Molokia, but in this photo I already used my own yogurt as a starter culture, instead of a towel I took a synthetic quilted rag / from a series of purchased rags for cleaning the floor, new of course /
Homemade yogurt in such quantities is available for the whole family and also for baking.

Thanks for the recipe. I have a 2-liter milk cooker, so 2.4 liters won't work, but I really liked the idea. Should the milk container be closed, like a can with a lid?
