  • The hardest part of this recipe is to cook rice
  • We are big lovers of Japanese food and we always cook like this
  • We use only round grain rice for sushi
  • For this, for example, Japanese rice from Mistral is great.
  • Ingredients
  • - 500-600gr of rice (this is a fairly large amount, if you want less - divide proportionally)
  • - 900ml of water
  • - 6 tablespoons of rice dressing.
  • if you look at the proportions, then water by volume should be 1.5 times more than rice
  • and for every 100ml - a spoonful of rice vinegar (dressing)
  • Cooking process:
  • If you don't have a rice cooker, use a nonstick pan. You also need to make sure that the lid fits snugly against the pot so that excess heat does not go away. Bring the rice and water to a nearly boil over medium heat, uncovered. Be careful not to let it boil under any circumstances. Then stir the rice with a spatula and reduce heat to low. Cover the pot with a lid.
  • Set a timer for 20 minutes and continue simmering. After about 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir the rice with a spatula to prevent the rice from sticking and sticking to the bottom. Place the lid on the pot and continue cooking.
  • After 20 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let the rice sit for another 20 minutes.
  • After the rice comes, it will need to be cooled. Mix the rice thoroughly in a large non-metallic bowl.
  • Add rice vinegar dressing to the rice. Using a spatula, it is necessary to achieve complete and even wetting of all the rice - it is important that all the rice is saturated with the dressing! After the rice has been mixed, let it cool either to room temperature.
  • Rice is ready - you can start preparing sushi.
  • We spread rice on our rug with a thin layer

  • and on top of the rice are the ingredients for the filling

  • If you want the rice rolls out - turn the nori with the rice before laying out the filling

  • Someone is used to spinning rolls with a mat and dancing with polyethylene, but not us
  • We twist our roll using a rug from the set Sushi magic (in addition to it, the set also contains special sushi forms for making nigiri - but this will be in another recipe))))

  • we get a nice neat roll
