Carrot jam Breakfast for the bunny

Ingredients

Carrots (net weight) 0.5 kg.
Medium apples (sweet and sour) * 2 pcs.
Big orange 1 PC.
Lemon 1/2 pcs.
Fresh ginger root 20 gr.
Sugar 300 gr.
Zhelfix, Confiture or Pectin not necessary

Cooking method

  • Grate the carrots on a fine grater. Peel and seed apples, grate on a fine grater. Remove the zest from the orange and half a lemon and squeeze the juice. Peel the ginger root and chop finely. In a non-stick saucepan with a thick bottom, fold the carrots, add the juice and zest of lemon and orange. Simmer, covered, until the carrots are soft. Then add apples, ginger and sugar, cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the liquid evaporates **. Arrange in clean jars.
