Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)

Ingredients

dough:
flour 450g
sugar 50g
milk 130ml
butter 80g
dry yeast 7g
eggs 2 pcs.
salt 0.5h l.
filling:
pudding 2 packages
milk 700ml
sugar 80g
raisins 60-70g
cherry jam 3 tbsp. l.
cognac (rum) 50-60ml

Cooking method

  • From the ingredients for the dough, knead a rather elastic dough and leave it to rise in a warm place for 90 minutes. At this time, prepare the filling. To do this, gradually add sugar, raisins and 2 bags of chocolate (or vanilla) pudding to the milk while stirring continuously:
  • Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)
  • bring it to a boil with continuous stirring and boil for 1 minute. I did it in the microwave at full power according to the scheme: 5 minutes - stir intensively - 5 minutes - stir again. Leave to cool.Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle of about 30 by 60 cm, distribute the cooled pudding over it:
  • Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)
  • Roll up into a long roll and cut into 1.5 cm thick segments. Expand the segments in a circle of the shape, starting from the middle and almost close to each other:
  • Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)
  • This amount is enough for 2 pies in a 28cm diameter pan. I made 1 cake and buns separately. Let it rise in the form for another 30 minutes, so that the segments merge into a single cake. Bake at 180-190 * C for 25-30 minutes. Heat the jam and brush over the hot pie. Then heat the cognac in a ladle, set it on fire and pour it onto the pie:
  • Snail Pie (Kuchen Schnecken)
  • I didn't "light" the buns.
  • The dough is very fluffy, and the pie itself turns out as if it were sandwiched with delicate chocolate pudding. Cherry jam with cognac adds flavor and sophistication to the cake:

Note

I baked in the Princess pizza maker for 16 minutes from a cold state, turned it off and left it in the pizza maker with the lid closed for 5 minutes.

Linadoc! Thank you - thank you for such a nice pie, and even with the pudding! And then I bought puddings from Dr. Otter, and the recipes with their use are not so that very much. And many of those that I find are unacceptable for one reason or another. Yes, I didn’t find much, because, basically, I sit at our Bread Maker. I study it on the sly.
Pie - for service, definitely! Because he is handsome and indisputable yummy!
Linadoc
Irina, glad that the recipe came up!

Linadoc, thank you for a very tasty pie, now I have a place to attach the pudding, I only bake bagels and buns with it, I baked one pie in a prince, another in the oven, in a prince it turned out much faster, I will definitely repeat it!
Linadoc
Tatyana, Bon Appetit! Mine also demanded a repeat!

Irina, just about, the pudding is so tender and very chocolate, in structure it is much softer than the dough. In addition, there is also sour jam with cognac on top. Overall, the feel of a cake rather than a cake.

Linadoc, tell me, did you grease the Princess before spreading the pie? And laid it out on the surface without paper? I just bought the Princess today and tomorrow for breakfast I want to make your first pie with only jam. For the test, I poured everything into the bread maker with a delay until the morning.
Linadoc
Natalia, I didn't grease it with anything, but I baked it in a silicone mold (see, blue). But it's better without anything at all, just lay out on the cover.
degteva
Linadoc, Thanks for the quick response. I'm getting ready for breakfast in the morning. I read like everything, but I want to set it right according to your recipe and set it for 16 minutes. I will spread it in the cold. After all, you baked in a mold, and you think you don't need to lubricate the surface?
Linadoc
Natalia, I then baked without a form again and I liked it more without a form. And yet, you must be prepared that after 10 minutes you will need to cover it on top (with paper or a rug), because it rises well and can be fried.
degteva
Linadoc, Can't you immediately cover it with parchment?
Linadoc
in principle it is possible, but for some reason I then covered up.
degteva
Thanks for the tips and tricks. Tomorrow I'll tell you what happened.
