Cooking method

  • Advent starts on Sunday 4 weeks before Christmas, this year November 30th.
  • By the beginning of Advent, churches and houses are decorated with green branches and wreaths of Christmas trees, various decorations

  • The Advent wreath is a round wreath of living or artificial branches with candles, each lit on Sundays and each as a symbol. On the first Sunday of Advent, the first candle in the Advent wreath, the Prophecy candle, is lit. The other three candles can represent different aspects of the Advent story.
  • These wreaths can be bought in stores, or you can make such a wreath yourself.

  • I decided to practice and bake Advents-Kaesekuchen. I love baking with cottage cheese very much.
  • Beat the butter well with sugar, add eggs one at a time, then flour with baking powder and ground nuts and spices, if you like, I did not put.
  • The dough is not steep, but not too sticky. We put it in the refrigerator.
  • Cooking jelly of medium density.
  • Open the jar with compote and let the peaches drain and dry thoroughly.
  • Beat eggs with sugar, add cottage cheese, pudding or starch, knead well.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 *, 160 * with blowing.
  • We take the form, I have a standard one, put the baking paper. Stretch 2/3 of the dough in shape, make sides. We moisten our hands in water so that they stretch better and do not stick to our hands.

  • We put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator. Cooking peaches. I cut the halves in half and did not fit too tightly into the mold.

  • Pour our curd mass on top of the peaches.

  • We put in the oven for 35 minutes.
  • After 35 minutes, we take out the mold, pour the cooled jelly on top (I added a little starch to it, it seemed a little thin).
  • Cut out the figures from the remaining dough, put on jelly, put in the oven for 25 minutes.
  • We take out, cool. Done
