Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)

Ingredients

pork tenderloin
vegetable oil 2-3 st. l
oregano 1h l
thyme 1 tsp
bulb 1 PC
salt pepper
Red wine 50 g

Cooking method

  • I cooked such meat and I think that this dish can take its place on the festive table.
  • Wash the pork tenderloin, dry with a paper towel and cut into three equal strips from the narrow end, a little short of the end.
  • Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)
  • Salt.
  • Combine dried herbs and peppers and season three strips of meat with them.
  • Now you need to weave a braid from the strips, and fasten the ends with a toothpick.
  • Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)
  • Cut the onion into half rings and fry it in vegetable oil. You can add a clove of garlic.
  • Remove the onion from the pan, add oil and fry the "pigtail" on both sides.
  • Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)
  • Transfer the meat to a mold, put the onion on top and pour over with red wine. If there is no wine, then you can take some broth or water.
  • Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)
  • Bake in the oven (200 degrees) for about 25 minutes, sometimes pouring juice over the meat.
  • We check the readiness by piercing the meat: the released juice should be light.
  • Tenderloin Pigtail (Filetzopf)
  • It turned out very tasty, soft and juicy meat!

Note

You can bake such a "pigtail" overlaid with chopped potatoes and vegetables.

Oh, Lyudochka! How I liked it !!!! :) Thank you! Of course, I did something similar from fish-meat, but you have nuances, and it turned out very beautifully. Thank you for reminding and suggesting your such a wonderful option !!!

MariV, cool option. Mayonnaise makes the turkey juicy.
