Tomato rice with mussels

Ingredients

Long grain rice 1m. Art. (160ml)
Tomatoes in own juice + juice 3m. Art.
Mussels, peeled, frozen 300 g
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Garlic 1 tooth
Vegetable oil 2st. l.
Mixture "Provencal herbs" 1h l.

Cooking method

  • Peel the tomatoes, chop, mix with juice, pour over the rice. Bring to a boil and cook, covered, until rice is tender.
  • Fry finely chopped onion and garlic passed through a press in hot oil.
  • Rinse the mussels with cold water (do not defrost), add to the onion, stir, sprinkle with "Provencal herbs", fry for 10 minutes.
  • Combine mussels and cooked rice. mix. Season to taste. I don’t add salt. because my juice is salty.
