Shortcrust pastry butterflies

Ingredients

Butter (softened) 230 g
Egg 1
Powdered sugar 65 g
Corn starch 30 g
Flour 100g
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp

Cooking method

  • I am adding another shortcrust pastry recipe adapted and tested by me to our collection of recipes for Nordic Ware molds. The original is on the official website of this brand.
  • 1. Prepare the form (carefully grease the form with paste and put in the refrigerator).
  • 2. Turn on the oven at 165 C.
  • 3. Beat butter, icing sugar and egg until fluffy.
  • 4. Add sifted together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt and mix well.
  • 5. Spoon the dough into a mold.
  • 6. Tap the mold on a hard surface (for better removal of bubbles, gently throw the mold from a low height).
  • 7. Place in the oven and bake for 20-23 minutes until golden brown.
  • 8. Remove from the oven and leave in the mold for 10 minutes.
  • 9. Gently (very delicate and crumbly) turn over onto a wire rack and cool.
  • 10. Decorate (optional).

The dish is designed for

6 pcs.

Time for preparing:

~ 50 min

Note

The amount of oil can be reduced to 200 g to make it less greasy.

The volume of the "Butterflies" form - 3 cups or 0.7 l

What a beauty, butterflies have arrived!
Sivanahoney, thanks for the recipe!
The butter seems really too much for this amount of flour, although, probably, thanks to this, the dough is crumbly and tender.

Tanyusha , thanks for your attention. The forms are cool, we must take them)) I have already typed 13 of them, I also looked at European sites) I like the process itself - a kind of "creative meditation" and, of course, the result)

Annushka , thank you Butterflies on the table, in a vase, look cute and positive, definitely, cheer up) I also want the shape of a big Butterfly)
