I steam the eggs. As usual, I pour 4 cups of water into the mulk, put a double boiler. Eggs into it. I cook 10 minutes for the cool ones.
Andreevna
Steam program: soft-boiled for 4 minutes, hard-boiled for 10-12 minutes (depending on the size of the eggs). The wire rack holds 13 eggs, category 1

And how much to cook eggs "in a bag"? The husband loves only such.
And what, I wonder, CANNOT be cooked in a multicooker ???
mars
Tell me, I understand correctly that the time for 10 eggs and 2 (for example) is the same, i.e. 4 minutes. for soft-boiled eggs, 10-12 hard boiled? In the egg cooker, after all, for a certain number of eggs - a certain amount of water, is it wrong in the cartoon or is it all the same?
Andreevna
Mars, that's right, time and water are the same for one egg. Water pouring cm 1.5 - 2 from the bottom multi, well, so that there was something to boil and give steam.
Gypsy
I have a drawing, in the strainer there are special indentations for eggs, a strainer with legs is placed at the bottom of the saucepan. Eight hard-boiled eggs are boiled for 23 minutes, if you pour cold water. I pour water in a glass \ 180ml \ or less. Casserole 2 liters

Yes, not at all, the main thing is not to be disappointed in the made choice
Eggs were my first course
You know, in my description, the eggs need to be boiled for 23 minutes, I did just that. they all burst
Tell me, how are you cooking them?
Gypsy
it is 23 minutes and I pour cold water into the saucepan, put the strainer, put the washed eggs and start, they burst very rarely, there were only isolated cases.
winter
I did something wrong, I went and try again
Hairpin
And when I cook them in an egg cooker, I pierce them with a (special) needle ...
Gypsy
it seems to me that it can hang from the shell and from the fact that there were eggs in the refrigerator or
ESmith
Thanks to the author. Now in the morning I cook eggs just like that. And I do not pierce anything. During the timer, they manage to warm up to room temperature and have never cracked

And my husband told me that he would not eat steamed eggs, because they are not sterilized enough. Well, there, salmonellosis and all that. Afraid there are. So I have to do it the old fashioned way. Tell me, are eggs also steamed in egg cookers?

I cook simultaneously with the "milk" porridge in the morning on the timer. In an hour there all salmonella will die
And I never cooked in an egg cooker, I can't say how it happens there ...

What do you mean ??? I cook in a double boiler and nothing .. If you think so, then any dishes from the double boiler are not cooked enough ??? I'll go and read that smart people write about a double boiler.

Firstly, eggs must be washed before boiling .. not only salmonella can live on them, but also chicken eggs. Secondly, does not steam in a confined space have 100 degrees? Thirdly, does your husband eat eggs with shells? Doesn't he consume eggs at all? in the same place nothing is cooked at all, and the contents of the eggs during the split have contact with the outer side of the sorlupa .. in a bent nda .. life is harmful
ESmith
Gypsy
did you answer me?
But mine is just what they eat, for a sweet soul.
Of course, eggs must be washed before cooking. Especially when cooking with another dish.

So how much to cook eggs for 10 minutes or 23 minutes. And you can put them in a saucepan, not in a basket. I was so "relaxed" with mv.Today I put eggs on the stove and forgot about them.
Gin
in MV, I boiled eggs at the first post for 10 minutes in a steam basket - and the tough eggs are ready to not crack, not burst - everything was fine, probably, you can put them directly into the pan - the same 10 minutes of steam cooking. will gurgle in boiling water for 10 minutes. the only thing - it is not clear what will happen to the coating of the pan - the shell will not damage it? (they will turn back and forth on the pot ...)
23 minutes is also possible, but it will already be blue eggs
Gypsy
In my two-liter rice cooker, it is 23 minutes for 8 eggs, 23 minutes are counted not from boiling water, but from cold water.

Yesterday I boiled eggs. How I liked it. It is such a pleasure. How much I lost in 2 years, but better late than never. Salt does not need to be translated, they do not crack, if you forgot about them, then you know that they will not turn yellow or turn blue. In general, you can remove the stove.

Ummm ... In a pressure cooker, if the valve is left open, will it work like a cartoon? I have a pressure cooker, I want soft-boiled eggs.

I also cook, I even set a special program additionally on a multicooker (you can do this on my Redmond 250), only I lay 12 eggs or less, well, it happens that along with potatoes, if I'm going to cook a salad. everything works out great.
Lazy
Girls, do I understand correctly that whole eggs cannot be boiled in a pressure cooker? In the steamer mode, my pressure turns on ..
Povareshka-Alyonka
Above, it was written about a multicooker, but it is impossible in a pressure cooker.
Lazy
I did not dare, but now in the topic about the pressure cooker I found that it is possible at the 1st pressure level: /. I went digging further :)
_JuMi_
Now I cook eggs exclusively in a pressure cooker, steamed. At the bottom, 1 multi-glass of water, eggs on the wire rack. 2 min - a bag, 4 - smeared yolk. But I open it as soon as it penetrates - and into cold water. If you do not open it, but wait until the pressure drops by itself, it will be hard-boiled.

Even steamed eggs do not leak out, the pressure in my pressure cooker is not adjustable, so full steam is OK!

For fun, I cooked eggs in silicone molds, here is a link for clarity: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=177602.0
Lazy
Oh, so you can. Thank you very much, otherwise I was struggling on a multi-cooker, I was afraid under pressure :)

Arbena
I have a slow cooker recently. But I didn't think to boil eggs in it. What's wrong with a saucepan?
_JuMi_
Arbena, on the stove you need to follow the eggs. And I put it on and left the kitchen and forgot about everything.
Arbena
Well, yes, I will never get used to the idea that you can leave the kitchen and leave to cook :(

That's why I love my multicooker.
Adelena
In my recipe book, which went to the Redmond cartoon, it is written to cook for 10-12 minutes. I always put it on for 10 minutes myself. 23 minutes is already too much, it seems to me ...
