Focaccia

Ingredients

Unclarified flour
(I took 1st grade flour)
3.75 cups
Water 1.5 cups
Salt 1.5 tsp.
Sugar 1 tsp
Olive oil with red pepper,
(mixed olive oil with 0.5 tsp paprika)
2 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast (took Fermipan) 1.5 - 2 tsp
Crushed garlic cloves 2 pcs.
Chopped jalapeno peppers
(only simple Bulgarian was available)
2 pcs.
Chopped basil leaves 0.25 cups
Mix for greasing the dough:
Olive oil with herbal aroma
(plain olive)
3 tbsp. l.
Crushed red casabel peppers
(1 simple green bell pepper)
3 pcs.
Chopped basil leaves 2 tbsp. l.
Coarse sea salt
(out of stock)
1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Fry the garlic in olive oil over low heat until golden brown. Transfer the garlic to another bowl and let the oil cool.
  • Knead the dough. (in my LV: warm water, flour, sugar, salt, garlic, olive oil, 0.5 teaspoons of pizza spices, yeast). Dough mode.
  • During the second batch I added chopped peppers and basil. The gingerbread man turned out to be very soft. The program ended in 1 hour 03 minutes.

  • Place the dough in a 33 cm dia. Greased pizza pan (mine is 28 cm in diameter). Stretch the dough so that it covers as much of the mold surface as possible. Cover and let stand 15 minutes. Make indentations with your fingers and stretch the dough again to the edges of the mold. Leave it on for 50 minutes. The dough should be light and airy.

  • Preheat oven to 200 ° C.
  • Dip your fingers lightly in the herbal olive oil and cut a few indentations on the surface of the pizza. Sprinkle with pepper, basil, and salt. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the dough is browned around the edges. Let cool slightly and then remove from the mold.
  • Focaccia

Time for preparing:

25-30 minutes

Cooking program:

200 ° C.

Note

The result is a very light, airy, aromatic bread. The husband was capricious - he said that he was very gentle. At work they asked: "why so little, we want more"
You can continue further:
While the focaccia is cooling, chop the red and yellow peppers and eggplant. Drizzle lightly with oil. Season with pepper and salt. Grill at moderate temperatures for 3-5 minutes.
Cut the focaccia in half lengthways and place the sautéed vegetables, tomatoes, onions, cheese and ham on the bottom. Cover with the top half and serve.
It turns out one pizza with a diameter of 33 cm

And if you also put pitted olives / halves of olives into these "cavities" - depending on the thickness of the dough - mmm, I recommend ...

And even in Focaccia, I alternate olives with pieces of feta cheese-cubes, this is sold in jars in olive oil with herbs. Here I also insert them into the recesses.

Lenusya, the bread turned out to be a feast for the eyes. Only the pan is probably more likely for a pie than for a pizza? My pizza pan is as flat as a tray. Such a tall bread is unlikely to work on it.

The dough keeps its shape well, therefore, I think, it should work out both in a flat form and on a baking sheet. The recipe was referring to a pizza dish, since this recipe is from the Pizza and Pasta Recipes cookbook.
I baked on convection mode in the microwave and there was nothing suitable, except for such a glass form.

I can imagine how delicious

And how much is the glass here?
How much is 1.5 cups of water? What is the capacity of the cup?
