Nuts and Poppy Seed Strudel - Layered Strudel mit Nessen und Mohn

Ingredients

puff pastry 600 g
yolk 2 pcs
sugar 80 g
oil 50 g
nuts 100 g
poppy 100 g
milk 50 ml
biscuit crumb 100 g
cinnamon ½ tsp
lemon zest ½ tsp
raisins 50 g
rum 20 ml
milk 3-4 table. l.
yolk 1 PC

Cooking method

  • Pour hot milk (50 ml) over the poppy seeds. Leave for 2-3 hours and grind in a blender.
  • Beat the yolks with sugar and butter.
  • Add ground nuts, poppy seeds, cinnamon, lemon zest, rum, raisins and mix everything. Dilute the filling with milk.
  • Roll out a layer of puff pastry thinly. Lay out the filling. Wrap in a roll.
  • Brush the top with yolk.
  • Bake in the oven at 220 ° C for about 35-40 minutes.
  • Can be served with ice cream.
