What kind of graters does anyone have?
Advise what to buy and what to focus on.
The BORNER grater, with its accessories, is dear to me.
I would have something simpler and not so expensive.

I have a food processor. Bulky.
I do not use it.

I have a DeKok grater. UKA - 1201.8 functions. Relatively convenient, I really like to chop cabbage, potatoes, onions. The wheel can be used to adjust the thickness of the slices. It can also be cut into strips (2 types of width). There are interchangeable graters with different holes (fine, medium and for baby puree). There is also a cone-attachment for citrus (attached to the holder). It is possible to install on a pan, cup. Convenient to wash. At first I got used to using the holder, or sometimes I cut vegetables with my fingers, now everything is in order. But still I use it as a shredder for cabbage, onion rings, but it is more convenient to grate carrots on a salad on a regular grater, because this nozzle is not very wide, only three to six rows of holes on each, depending on the size of the holes (in general, not enough for me) And so the steel of this grater is good, sharp, I really like the adjustment with the screw, the grater is thought out to the smallest detail. In addition to it, there is also the usual for Korean carrots.

Such?

Yes. The quality of the knives and plastic is good. I use it constantly, I bought it 3-4 years ago.
When buying a grater, pay attention to the thickness of the metal (if the grater is metal), that is, imported graters with very thin sheets, it is not convenient to work with them - they are dull and "play" when shredding.

No, I will not transfer it there, but I will transfer it to the section where the same graters are already discussed - to the section SHINE.

By the way, you can see more topics on your question. https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=19022.0 and https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=19051.0 - Well, suddenly something will come in handy!

You do not understand me. I don't need electric cutters.
I ask people to help me choose a vegetable grater.
Not expensive, but decent and comfortable.
Can the topic be called: HELP TO CHOOSE THE GRAPER?

No, for some reason, I got it right! It's just that there is a little material about mandolin - it is really an electric grater, but there are also answers about mechanical graters. And the Alligators and Nyser Dizers, to which I gave the link, were never electric absolutely!
Rename the topic as you want, really the new proposed name will more accurately reflect the essence!

I have such a grater, I bought it for a long time, it still serves. A very handy thing.

Even earlier, there were all sorts of additional things to it, but over time, only the most basic remained.

This is Berner, which the author of the topic does not want!

Well, to each his own, but she really suits me.

And this suits me, and the author would suit for sure, but she wrote why she did not want her at the moment, these are objective reasons, and therefore she asked for help in choosing another grater. Do not be offended! Berner does not offend anyone and there is a separate topic for him simply!

Donna Rosa, I have a Tescoma grater, outwardly the same as in your photo, it can do a lot of things, steel and plastic are of excellent quality. BUT: it is convenient to use only a regular shredder and curly. It has never been humanly possible to cut carrots into strips, since it is impossible to hold it (carrot) with a holder, and it is very dangerous with your hands, it cuts and pierces with any careless movement.
There are still different attachments, but I also don’t use them, because the capture area is very small, ineffective, then it’s difficult to wash it, because everything is very spicy, but imagine fatty cheese, chocolate ... The grater is not cheap, but mostly lies without causes.
But what Anastasia has in the photo, it seems to me better, the capture is larger and safer, in my opinion. And also in our markets they sell homemade graters, made of natural wood, using good steel. Perhaps you can find these too. They are of very good quality. In short, I do not recommend Tescom.
I have a separate special inexpensive device for fries. By the way, I cut boiled vegetables into vinaigrette and Olivier for them, I only modify it by hand with a knife, but this is a matter of seconds.
LiudmiLka
And there are also mechanical graters, for example, Moulinex has different discs (a vegetable is clamped, and you turn the handle with your hand). And there are separate devices for each type of cutting. I have not used them, I have seen brochures for a long time, but I have not found them in stores. I was very impressed then. And now I already prefer a harvester, so I don't know if they are on sale.

I need such a grater to finely grate the apple and carrot,
and potatoes on a casserole or pancakes, and grate carrots and beets with shavings,
as on the simplest Soviet grater in ancient times.
There may be other functions plus the main ones, of course, I will only be glad.
But nowadays there are probably more modern and convenient and safe graters.
I am lost.
I just don't know what it will be comfortable, safe and pleasant to work with.
tanya123
There is also such a very convenient grater, it is especially good for grating apples, only I use the other side, it kind of grates back and forth, rubbing when you drive up and down (in the photo it is on the other side).

I liked the grater. All evening I was looking for where to order it in the internet.
So far it hasn’t worked.
I don’t know German, but I didn’t find it on English-language sites.
For Russian ones, they are sent only within Russia.
I wrote a letter to the Germans in English,
hope to get an answer in the same language.

We have Dekok gadgets, including such graters I saw in large electronics and household appliances stores like "Search" or "M. Video", looking at such a grater I also doubted: how to work on it?

Now I looked: in "M. Video" such a grater is 550 rubles. worth

MOULINEX grater, Model: A44508

Already deciphered the model numbers. I searched for an hour on the internet, but could not find where to order. The Germans replied that they deliver only in their own country.
Russians do the same: delivery within Russia.

I was looking for mod 445-08. Now I will look for А44508.
Maybe I'll get lucky and find a seller in Europe.
DonnaRosa
In search of a site where you can order without unnecessary problems,
I studied the information for a long time i prices for graters in European
and American sites.
I came to the conclusion that the most expensive bourgeois graters are classic four-sided graters, made of good stainless steel, with a handle on top.
All plastic ones are several orders of magnitude cheaper.

Terochka similar to mod. А4450, found on the American site, but with only three discs. Whose production they do not write, but you can guess.
The discs are not known from what metal.

I have a ZELMER 986/83 meat grinder with a grater and shredder function, a super thing, I do not often use a meat grinder, but like a grater every day, there are carrots, there are beets for soup, there is a salad, carrots are grated into the freezer, prozapas, chopped cabbage for pickling , potatoes for potato pancakes, even rubbing horseradish. all my friends bought, everyone is happy! there are simpler models, I also have a juicer in the kit, and I also have a mill, but this is superfluous, and everything is elementary in care, the neiser diser is more difficult to wash, our prices are much cheaper than in Moscow, it is easier to buy for 3 then for 2 per share, since we border on Poland.

I had a grater like. I rubbed well, BUT: to grate the vegetables, it was necessary to free up a lot of space on the desktop in order to stabilize this bulky tripod. And in a small kitchen this is not always convenient, plus, you had to shove some other bowl under it so that the rubbed vegetables would fall there. And the hand somehow quickly got tired of turning this handle ... In general, it did not seem convenient to me. I don't even remember where I took her

It's the same with me. This grater lay as if not a necessary thing IMHO. I think I gave it to someone. I consider it not a convenient device and superfluous.

I support, I had a similar "miracle", sooooo not convenient. It was necessary to cut everything into small pieces, for example, I cut a carrot into 4-5 pieces in order to stuff it, there is a restriction in height.

Girls, help me too! You need a grater for grating carrots (like for soup) and so that you can cut it into slices too. Not very expensive, not confusing, not bulky (like harvesters). At first I liked the Nice Diser +, but I don’t need other shapes (except cubes, but you can do without them)
Thank you!

I found this "miracle" during the next raking of kitchen cabinets. Now I am puzzled: where should I put it?
