Ingredients

Apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp. l
Sugar 2 tbsp. l
Mustard powder 50 gr.
Mustard seeds 50 gr.
Salt 1 tsp
Vegetable oil 2-4 st. l
Freshly ground pepper taste

Cooking method

  • I warn you right away! The mustard is vigorous. She looks like a "Frenchwoman", in fact, a real Russian!
  • Pour mustard powder into a bowl. Add boiling water one spoon at a time (it took me about 8 tbsp. L), stirring after each spoon

  • Smooth out the mass with a spoon, pour boiling water over about 2 cm.Leave to cool completely

  • Then carefully drain the water. Add sugar, salt, oil, vinegar, freshly ground pepper, mix well so that there are no lumps. Add mustard seeds, stir well

  • If the mass is too thick, you can dilute it with a little water. Leave on the table for a couple of hours, then transfer to a glass jar and refrigerate for 12 hours

Only I didn't add the powder, but grinded the grains in a mortar and added honey instead of sugar. The mustard is good!

I washed the grains, poured them with apple cider vinegar (you can use half of the juice) and put them in the refrigerator for two days. Then she boiled for 2 minutes, crushed part of the grains in a mortar, you can crush up to the third part, I did less. I added spices: pepper and one clove, honey, a little salt. I added everything to my liking. A day later, I added a little honey. Try to cook, we liked this one.
