Ingredients

Millet groats 1 mst
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l.
Hot water 2 mst
Butter 25-30 g
Salt taste
Sugar taste

Cooking method

  • I decided to cook millet porridge for a side dish, the last time I did it by buying porridge in portioned bags - but this is not ours constant method I tried to cook the last kilogram package in different multicooker and pressure cooker - overcooked for my taste comes out and that's it!
  • And then I came across a wonderful recipe, based on it, I cooked porridge for a side dish in little Filipka and everything worked out!
  • I washed the groats thoroughly, doused them with boiling water. She poured a spoonful of sunflower oil on the bottom of the saucepan, poured the cereal, salted and poured boiling water over it. "Porridge" mode 10 minutes. After the cartoon announced the readiness of the porridge, I opened the saucepan and cut slices of butter on top and left it on the "Heating" for 30 minutes.
  • What can I say - it turned out delicious! In the evening, the porridge went as a side dish, and in the morning I finished it with milk!

Lena, thank you very much for the millet. Loose and tasty. I haven't cooked millet for a long time, but today I wanted something so. And 1 mst is straightforward so that millet does not get tired.

Isn't it dry? Is the cereal boiled? Not a little water? And then in the instructions for Panasonic it was written that millet porridge needs to be cooked 1 to 4, so I cook in this proportion. I thought that was the only way.
Antonovka
Stafa,
Sveta, I'm glad that I liked it

Rita,
Not dry and boiled, honestly
Stafa
Rit, millet itself is a dry cereal. I ate with milk, made goulash for him for lunch. And I do not know how to eat one millet, any cereal porridge without gravy is dry to me.

Rita, Rita, if we want to get porridge at the exit, then we can do that, but we want it to be like buckwheat ..., that is, a side dish ...

Len, hello!
I read about millet in another place, I read a lot before "drooling". Then I saw yours, well, everything, I see fate! She ran to cook. Filipka, like yours, I don't have, put it in a little Moulinex on Plov-Grechka. Time is not set there, as the water boiled away, and it turns off. I also immediately added the butter and kept it on the Heating. We got it right in a flash, really liked it, thanks!
velli
I never cooked more and more buckwheat, rice, pearl barley for a side dish. And your recipe is just lovely, so I wanted such a garnish for meatballs with creamy sauce. THANK YOU!
Antonovka
