  • Good day!
  • I am trying to present the first recipe, please do not judge strictly. It seems that I have not seen anything like this on the forum.
  • The dish belongs to the Latvian cuisine (at least here they think so), I saw similar mentions in Estonian too, so it is more accurate to say that the dish is typical for the Baltic States, so that no one would be offended.
  • 1. Boil potatoes, salt as you like.
  • 2. While the potatoes are gurgling, clean the sprat. I have a regular sprat sprat, a standard 240 grams canned washer. This is always done by the husband, who, without proper supervision, quickly cleaned everything and took the jar to the trash. Therefore, the recipe without detailed photos, and they are not really needed, everything is quite simple.
  • 3. Mix cottage cheese with sour cream. Regular purchased cottage cheese, 1 pack, a couple of tablespoons of sour cream and mix with a spoon.
  • 4. Cut the greens (optional, if someone does not favor green tea with potatoes, skip).
  • 5. Put on a plate: steaming potatoes, sprinkle with green tea, lay out the fish, and mixed cottage cheese. (I add extra sour cream to the potatoes - for an amateur)
  • 6. Eat with pleasure and bite. I don't know how to correctly and beautifully say - so that all 3 main tastes are combined in your mouth))

My first reaction to the dish voiced by my husband is the suspicions that crept into my head that he is Bluebeard and longs for the painful death of the newlywed from indigestion.
But, since a Russian woman cannot be caught with fish and sour milk, I made up my mind. In general, of course, I did not strongly resist, but I tried the dish some time after my husband. Just kidding.
In general - for potato souls who are not indifferent to fish too - please. All together turned out to be very interesting and, most importantly, simple.

There are various design options, you can take herring instead of sprat, and arrange potatoes in the form of chickpeas with a crispy crust. Tasty and so and so.

You can boil the potatoes in their uniforms, cut them into plates, put a curd on top of it. Next time I'll try it for some meal.
Probably good for beer, or is it better not to mix fermented milk with fermented milk, do you think?
