Ingredients

Cakes:
Eggs 2 pcs.
Yolks 2 pcs.
Sugar 1.5 tbsp.
Sour cream 2 tbsp. l.
Butter or margarine 150 g
Flour 2.5 tbsp.
Soda or baking powder 1 tsp
Poppy optional 2 tbsp. l.
Interlayer:
Prunes 500 g
Walnuts 1 tbsp.
Cream:
Butter 250 g
Sugar 1.5 tbsp.
Sour cream 20% 450-500 g
Decor
Protein 2 pcs.

Cognac taste

Cooking method

  • Cakes:
  • Grind eggs and yolks with 1.5 cups of sugar, add 1.5-2 tablespoons of sour cream and vanillin to taste. Add softened butter or margarine and flour sifted with baking powder or baking soda. Add poppy seeds if desired.
  • You will get a thick, but soft dough. Bake three or four cakes with a diameter of 25-26 cm in the oven at 180 degrees. If there are four cakes, the cake will be soaked better. Refrigerate.
  • Filling:
  • Steam the prunes, scroll through a meat grinder or grind with a blender. Add a glass of toasted walnuts. Roast the nuts according to their quality and as desired. Fresh, non-bitter nuts do not need to be fried.
  • Cream:
  • Beat the softened butter with a glass of sugar. Beat sour cream with half a glass of sugar, add vanillin. If the sour cream is liquid, you can add a thickener.
  • Mix the rolled prunes with nuts, whipped butter and whipped sour cream. Be careful, for some reason the cream may exfoliate. All foods should be at the same temperature.
  • Assembly:
  • Densely coat the cooled cakes with the resulting cream.
  • For coating, beat the whites with sugar, cover the cake on top. I cooked Wet meringue cream.
  • The cake must be soaked in the refrigerator. On the second or third day, it only tastes better.

You can soak the cakes a little with cognac. Sugar can also be safely reduced to a glass, or even less in cream, if the prunes are sweet, and to a glass in the dough.
