Ingredients

Carp (carp) 1 kg
Potatoes 1 PC
A tomato 1 PC
Bulb onions 1 PC
Carrot 1 PC
Bay leaf 2 pcs
Peppercorns 5 pieces
Salt taste
Dill herbs for serving

Cooking method

  • Prepare fish: clean, remove entrails and gills. I usually do this in a day, add the fish, pepper and leave it in the refrigerator in a container. Cut into portions before cooking.
  • Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  • Cut the carrots into strips.
  • Finely chop the onion.
  • Peel and chop the tomato.
  • Put a 2 liter saucepan on the fire, fill it halfway with water, toss in half the onion along with the potatoes and carrots. Cook after boiling for 5-7 minutes.
  • Then add the fish (the water should completely cover the fish), the other half of the onion, tomato, bay leaf and peppercorns. Season with salt and cook for 15 minutes, skimming off the resulting foam.
  • Pour plates into portioned plates, sprinkle with chopped herbs.

  • My husband, whatever I cook from fish, calls it fish soup. And he says that I cannot cook fish soup. And he certainly knows how, otherwise!))) But then I came across this recipe, and at the same time, the description that earlier the definition of "ear" was applied to all liquid dishes, soups, and it doesn't matter what they were made of. There were such names as meat ear, pea ear, fish ear (indicating fish - pike, sturgeon). Gradually, this name came to be applied only to a fish dish. And that in the Russian national cuisine fish soup is one of the most ancient dishes. This word was formed from the Indo-European root * jus, which translates as "broth" ("liquid"), from the same root the word jucha was formed, which has lost the original j. The result is the word "ear". And a miracle happened! My husband gave me a "5+". He said that he did not eat fish soup tastier. yyy))) Now we have this caron dish to which friends are invited.)
