Mackerel in a vacuum

Ingredients

Mackerel 3 pieces
Salt 1 tsp (1.5 tsp)
Sugar 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Gut the mackerel, cut off the head. Rinse under running water and dry with a napkin.
  • Mix sugar and salt in a bowl and grate the fish.
  • Put in a bag for evacuation and pack with a vacuum sealer (I have ELLRONA VA 22)
  • Place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • At the end of this time, the fish is ready for consumption.
  • I added 1.5 tsp. salt for those who love salted fish.
  • In our family, everyone eats not enough.
  • For us, these are ideal proportions.

Just adjust the salt to your taste. Do you have Hilton bowls? I also did them in them, everything worked out. Yes, it does not take long if you use Hilton bowls. Everything is the same as in the packer. Two hours is enough for her. If I keep it longer, then for me it is already too salty. Try fresh herring to do this.
