Foreword:
This review was written with the aim of dispelling rumors about poor quality drying of the RawMID Dream PRO dehydrator.

Which can be found here: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=430560.new#new

Dehydrator Overview

The dehydrator is shipped in a recyclable protective box.
On the box you can see not only the name of the electric dryer, but also some interesting things:

Characteristics of the Dream PRO dehydrator
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
On the other end of the box there is a memo on drying various products and a link to the manufacturer's website page, where more

detailed information.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
Opening the box reveals another, but already colored box in which the dehydrator itself is located.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
In the case of the dehydrator there are 2 more cardboard boxes in which there are steel trays and guides (trays are hung on them).
And this is what the tray looks like - it is a stainless steel mesh (water tested, does not rust) with edging. The trays are well made and the mesh along the soldering edge does not fall off.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
There is also a power cord in the box that can be completely disconnected from the dryer - this is very convenient if the drying needs to be carried from

place to place. And also there is an instruction, we will talk about it in more detail.
Dehydrator instruction

The instructions tell you how to use the dryer, what to do and what not to do (as is usually indicated in the instructions).
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
But besides the standard instructions, this book also contains detailed instructions for drying with a description of temperature conditions and tables.

different products).
What is in the instructions:

  • what is dehydration
what to do before using the dryer
what is needed for proper drying
general advice (how to cut, what to remove, what to build up and change)
    how to fill trays
    how to prevent dripping
    tips for drying different foods
pretreatment of products (also steaming and blanching)
    tables
    drying non-edible things
some interesting recipes, a warranty card and much more

Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
with such an instruction, it is not possible to dry the products correctly, the other thing is that no one reads them (he read it himself, after that

as did this review).

So let's pay attention to dehydrator panel Dream PRO
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
The panel is Russified. Here you can set the temperature regime, the timer, and a little to the right, we again see a reminder for drying.
Everything is for people, and you don't need to run to a box or dig into a book every time.
The dehydrator timer can be set with minute precision. The maximum value is 48 hours - this time is enough to dehydrate any product.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
In addition to the set drying time, the display of the DDP-10 dehydrator shows the operating time of the dryer (1 minute has passed since it was turned on in the photo).
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
On the right is a block with the next precautions. One concern, thank you
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
Just below the panel, there are stickers on the steel body of the dehydrator:
a sticker informing that the surface is heating up (as it turned out, no higher than 65 degrees (see video)).
And just below the second caring sticker reporting sharp edges (I myself did not find them (again, watch the video)).
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
Basically, all the edges are bent, but there are also not bent ones, theoretically you can cut yourself on them, but you need to try. Scratch something possible, but only something very gentle.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
and on the door we look at the edges, there is nothing to complain about.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
And this is what this dryer looks like (top view).
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
Dryer - side view.

Rear view, here again a sticker with info "do not lean against the wall", Syrian and those. product characteristics.

Inside view. The dehydrator chamber has a volume of 1.2 square meters (for comparison: Ezidri fd1000 = 0.46, Sedona Combo sd-p9150 = 0.93)
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
And here with the guides installed (they serve as supports for pallets).
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
So the trays are put into the dryer.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
By the way, in order to make the dryer easier to clean, it is possible to disconnect the drying chamber. It turns out a fan heater

Drying vegetables and fruits in the Dream PRO DDP-10 dehydrator

We took various products (what was in the kitchen)
We specially loaded 2 pallets of the same product, put the pallets on the same positions (for example, 2 pallets of cabbage: 1 in the first row and 1 in the last row) in order to display the correct operation of the dehydrator.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
Our test of the RawMID dream PRO dehydrator involved:
Romanesco cabbage (top and bottom trays) -0.5-1cm thick
Watermelon - (second rows of pallets) -2cm
Tomatoes - (third rows) about 0.5cm
Kohlrabi - finely chopped and laid on silicone sheets ~ 1cm thickness The remaining pallet was used for the remains of Romanesco and kohlrabi.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
The product is packed, the dehydrator is assembled.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
You can connect the machine to the network: set the timer to the maximum (because I don't know how quickly everything will be ready) and wait for the result.
The next day (14 hours later) I checked how things were going and noticed that the Romanesco cabbage was already dry (on all pallets), some tomato slices were already dry, the rest was not ready yet (more in the video) ...
In the evening of this day (almost 24 hours have passed in total), all the products were already ready.
Drying proceeded evenly and no jambs were noticed. Therefore, the dryer works as it should, in order for everything to work, it is enough to read the instructions ...
The only thing I can mention is that products that are dried on silicone sheets dry later. The product should be placed evenly on the sheets and in no case should be placed in the center more than at the edges. I also recommend cutting the product into pieces (for example, cutting marshmallows or bread, etc.) - this will speed up the drying process of the product.
Dehydrator (electric dryer) RawMID Dream PRO - review and review + video
To everyone, and especially to those who still doubt the performance of this dehydrator, I recommend watching the video in which I show and tell everything.

Thank you for your attention and I hope you enjoyed my first ever review on the forum.

I have long wanted to buy a dryer. But one moment repels. Drying takes a long time and is scary to leave it on the mains. Did you have any incidents during the drying process or were you always at home and watched it?

How long it takes depends on the type and quality of the fruits themselves. And no need to be afraid - you need to buy a high-quality dryer right away

most of the question has already been answered. I answer the rest.
I'm not afraid to leave the dryer in the network, of course it all depends on whether it has any fuses and protections. It is this dryer that has everything you need (from overheating, from voltage drops). I leave it on and leave work, come the next day, and she continues to thresh. Yes, besides, there is steel everywhere, and even if the protection does not work, the heating element will fall not on plastic, but on steel and will not burn anything, there will be no fire.

About drying Thanks for the clarification. I don't want to deprive a family of dried fruits, especially since winter is ahead. And for a snack, they are just right. You made me happy that there is overheating protection.Since this moment was repulsive in choosing a dryer. Tell me, what about vitamins are they preserved after drying?

They keep very well because they do not undergo heat treatment

Thanks for the helpful links there is a lot of useful information. But now another question arose when drying, whether I can combine different products. For example, dry pears and mushrooms. Will the smells mix?
Admin

You can mix on different pallets, or you can mix on one
inna.d
For pallets, I realized that it is possible for different ones. Have you tried experimenting this way from personal experience? I wonder if the mushrooms will smell like pear or vice versa. Do you have a fridge effect? When the food starts to absorb odors.
Admin

When in doubt, you need to check on yourself, we all have different tastes and perceptions.
Put two different products on the pallet (one piece, in a small amount) and let the dryer work and dry the products - then you will definitely know about the quality of the dryer and its ability to mix odors.

And you can write a lot about personal experience, you still won't believe me
The refrigerator and the dryer perform different functions, the refrigerator keeps the moisture content of the product, the dryer removes moisture and dehydrates.

Nothing mixes, at least in this dehydrator, since the air flow from the back wall goes forward, it does not circulate in a circle, but when it reaches the door it comes out through special holes.

So this is the problem. I would like to choose the drying right away, which suits me, and not experiment with them. And how often you can use the dryer and how long should there be a break. Or does it not affect work in any way?

Thank you for reassuring me, otherwise I began to doubt whether it was worth taking drying at all. There are many moments that I do not understand. One of them is how does it work, namely, is there noise from it, at least approximately? After all, this process is not minute.

See the dryer passport for what is written there. We choose a reliable dryer for a reason. Look at the review on our forum, who chooses what, how many comments to it and what they say.

Do you think I'm so smart to the limit, and all the recipes hit the top ten from once?
No, on the forum I only exhibit what works very well and deserves to be repeated after me
And I have enough mistakes from others too - we learn from our own mistakes, but here we warn you "do not repeat" !!!

It is not GODS that burn pots, you can learn everything, just carefully observe what happens to My dryer itself, about the age from 1990-94, and during this time you could learn something

There is a desire - buy! No desire means not your thing, wait! And learn only when you start drying yourself.

How many gave out! We've been talking about it for so long

The answer is simple. I could not find a dehydrator with 20 trays anywhere, everyone said that it would not be soon ...
But since I plan to expand my farm, most likely I will get 20 tray

It looks like this forum has all my technique. In the beginning I found a bread-maker, now I also found a dehydrator. I'll write a couple of lines: The quality is good. It dries evenly, the main thing is to cut it into even slices or halves, and if it is a plum or an apricot, then you can not cut it at all, so it fits, and then spread everything out evenly. I think it should be suitable for a mini-business. Works quietly. And you can freely "throw" it and go about your business as there is a timer. I still don't understand why many of these dryers do not have such a function.

I guess I'll start small and buy a dream pro. Suddenly my business will not work. And for the house it will be just right. Tell me, have you tried drying meat here? I read that many people make dried and dried products here. Only now there was no one to ask about the taste.

Ask - it's delicious! And just in general, in order to appreciate the taste, you need to do at least something yourself, at least a couple of chicken fillets to try
Alisa Ponomarenko
Oh, how much is there. I am a strong fussy about food. And I just don't eat much. But as I understood, it is necessary to experiment with a dehydrator. Have you tried to dry the game?

Alisa, it is customary for us to comment on all the questions in the topics by belonging - we go to ask questions in the meat Jerky how to cook? Options, suggestions, discussions so as not to get confused later where and what

Is your dryer exactly the same as in the author's review? Interested in the question, are vegetables really dried, as much as stated by the manufacturer, or do you need to monitor and adjust the drying time yourself?

Yes, such a dehydrator, exactly the same. I always dry exactly as indicated on the panel. And my mother is experimenting all the time. He gets it earlier, and some ingredients later than in the memo. It all depends on the thickness of the slices and what you are drying. If you follow the instructions, everything will be fine).

I was already very interested. I also love experimentation. I have already read on this forum how to dry meat, mushrooms and even candied fruits. The only thing left is to buy a dryer. Still, I am inclined to such as you and the author of the topic. Tomorrow I will seriously deal with the purchase.

NatalyMur
So dream vitamin
🔗 bought here, chose with steel trays
Ninelle
Yes, that's understandable, but whose is it? Quite Chinese?
NatalyMur
China, but the quality suits me perfectly. Would invite to visit for a look, but you are far away. The box says Made in PRC.
I have a blender from the same company, I am also very happy (Samurai).
Ninelle
I have already interrogated the Internet with partiality, he confessed to me that it was like Made in Dream and released this dryer for the Russian market.
I like the dryer, at first I wanted to buy a budget one, but after listening to my review about dryers, my instigator mother said: "Take Isidri, or Dream Vitamin ..." .. Now I will think, is Travola the same as Dream? Outwardly; the same. And the same China produces ..
Tanya-Admin recommends Orson, but they disappeared from sale and won't be available before July. And the price, not tasty already with him.

I have Rawmid Dream Classic DDC-10 3 days already! We chose for a long time, the reviews on the network are good. I already dried the box of strawberries and put the dough in it. So far, sheer delight. Works quietly, 10 shelves, you can play with space. Here I set out to make a marshmallow, I still want to dry the strawberries. In general, as always, there are sea plans!

"Take Isidri, or Dream Vitamin ..."
Here I am in the same torment It seems, Isidri has already decided ... Now I again fell into meditation.
Blowing in the Dream Vitamin convenient? I read it in Isidri on all the pallets, but it turns out that it blows from behind?
Quote: Ninelle
kind of like Made in Dream and released this dryer for the Russian market.
Yes, I read that too. IN made in Dream I took a vacuum and a blender. I'm happy! Then they started promoting the rawmid brand. I realized that I made an effort to produce them. Hopefully good technique.
Ninelle
Elena_Kamch, and I read that in Isidri and in similar dryers there is a stable temperature and uniform airflow only along the lower trays. But our girls praise her very much. The best option is to have both types of current dryers, so the apartment is bursting at the seams from my and my child's toys.
Elena_Kamch
Quote: Ninelle

Ideally, of course ... But while one would somehow get ... Therefore, I want the best option.
I read about Isidri that there with blowing, well, it is straight evenly and wonderful, since the air passes in the middle into the hole. And in the Dream, it blows from behind, although they write, it blows with high quality So understand, WHAT is better!
NatalyMur
I didn't have Isidri, but I had Rotor Diva, cheap, but there was temperature regulation, minus - I had to rearrange the trays during drying, and of course the design ... And now it has become much more convenient.
Elena_Kamch
NatalyMur, NataliaHow long have you had this dryer? Everything suits me?
Does it have additional trays?
NatalyMur
I have it recently - 2 months. But it is constantly in use. I make marshmallows, bread, dry bananas.
There are enough trays. 6 items. There are also mesh trays with a small mesh. And sometimes it dries faster directly on metal pallets.

Equipment: 7 metal pallets, 6 plastic marshmallow trays and 6 plastic nets for bulk items. I bought it for 14,500 rubles.
tatabata
The airflow of all trays is uniform, you cannot insert additional ones, since, strictly speaking, this is a drying cabinet. It doesn't take up much space, but in my opinion, it should have a "permanent residence". You can use it for yoghurt (I haven't tried it, because there is a yoghurt maker), and for dough. I liked it very much. I have a large warm loggia, flowers live there all winter, and also a kitchen branch: I keep a lot of kitchen equipment there and cook in it. The door is always open, we sleep nearby. Worked at night, did not interfere at all. Noise level 40 dB. Proceeding from the impossibility of "building up" took 10 trays. There is no dacha, I think it will be enough for the market. In general, something like that. Maybe then the flaws will come out, but so far I am very happy.

Added on Tuesday 07 Jun 2016 09:32 AM

Yes, Natalia, your equipment is rich! I only have mesh trays, but strawberries dried gorgeous on them. I ordered mats for marshmallows from them, but I did not see the pallets. I bought it for 17400. We looked at the Dream Vitamin, but decided that it would be too small, since we dry a lot of mushrooms, so we took the Classic.
NatalyMur

For me, even too much, I don't use so much. But in summer it will come in handy
Ninelle
NatalyMur, please tell me, what quality of plastic did the Rotor have? And what can you say about Rotor and Dream in comparison?
NatalyMur
Ninelle, Rotor's plastic is quite decent in my opinion, and I also like its pallets. I used to have a dryer - the grates there are quite large, while at the Rotor they are much smaller, they fail least of all. I dried the bread on a teflon sheet (I bought it on aliexpress, cut it into 2 parts, it dried perfectly). Yes, the most important thing is the pallet at the Rotor without a hole in the center, it is very convenient to dry. True, when I dried it on Teflon, then on the sides I had unclosed strips - the sheet turned out a little. If not for the need to rearrange the trays during drying, I would not even have thought of buying another dryer. Dream looks modern, no need to rearrange trays, it is very pleasant to dry in it. Keeps the temperature stable, checked with a temperature probe. Pretty boy.

So understand WHAT is better!
having a horizontal dryer = travolkin cabinet and 4 vertical dryers - they are not better, each has its own pros and cons

in the topic about travola-cabinet = budget (was) analogue of Dream = so many things smart and funny and useful
Elena_Kamch
Irsha, Irina, soooo ... well, why did I still slip the travola for thought? My brain is already smoking
How can it be that no one is better ???
I need both a budget (but not the cheapest one), and optimal ...
What are the disadvantages of Isidri? Like, some pluses, they write ...
Irgata
Quote: Elena_Kamch
but not the cheapest
cheap does not mean bad, rotors are cheap enough at current prices, and plow with Cinderella

travola-fully meets the requirements for wardrobes-el. dryers

and again = wallet chooses, I say this in all drying topics

all dryers are quite simple devices, the difference in materials, + some additional functions - the timer is convenient, but it is normal without it, the temperature regimes are almost the same for everyone, at least the upper t, brands and sellers are catching up with the price

Quote: Elena_Kamch
What are the disadvantages of Isidri?
as a device, it has no drawbacks, but many cannot afford it, although my dryers are at a total price = the price of a piece, and there is more than one motor

if in due time I could to go to the store and buy izedri with all the components - I bought it, but the town is small - either the Internet or what is in stores, and the choice in real life in many cities is quite good

I just bought a travolkin cabinet on ozone, the rest, like Pakat, are in a hamazine around the corner, Sukhovey5, for example, is also an analogue of izedri, I mostly dry tomatoes and plums in it, conveniently uniform drying throughout the entire volume

and so - look at the topics about specific dryers, still the wallet ismyselfit
Ninelle
Well, here I am as well, I was advised to take Veterok at all and not toil with foolishness, although they advise a model with 3 pallets, they say that it will not dry on a larger quantity, but it imports everything to me in Dream, except for the price. I also looked at the grass grass, only its equipment is quite ascetic, and if you look at how the price for the same Veterok almost doubles (though I still consider it with 6 pallets), if you complete it with pallets for pastille, nets and one more tray. Moreover, I have not seen any components for Travola, but I think that the price will also increase two times with a full set. For me, a plus in Dream is metal drying nets. And the plastic, as the manufacturer assures, is of very good quality. So I think too ... If Travola cost 2990 as before, I would not hesitate, even despite its gray-white color ...
