White cabbage 2 kg.

salt 3 tbsp. l.
vinegar 9% 9 Art. l.

Cooking method

  • Boil the beets, cut into strips or grate on a coarse grater. Chop the cabbage, cut the onion into rings.
  • Boil water, dissolve sugar and salt in it.
  • Dip vegetables into the brine, boil for 10 minutes from the moment of boiling, add vinegar and immediately put the vegetables in jars, cover, sterilize 0.5 l jars - 10 minutes, 1 liter each - 15-20 minutes, roll up, wrap until cool ...

A quick non-spoiled harvest, which I use for the disposal of non-marketable vegetables (small beets, cracked cabbage) every autumn. If you try it right away - the taste is so-so, for an amateur, when it is well infused - a delicious side dish for meat or a quick dressing for borscht.
