Ingredients

Chicken (I have chicken fillet) 1 kg
Bulb onions 1 -1.2kg
Eggs 10 pcs (minimum 6)
Lemon juice 1 tbsp. l.
Butter 100g
Adyghe salt taste

Cooking method

  • Chikhyrtma is a traditional dish of Azerbaijani cuisine. It is most often served as a side dish for Azerbaijani folding pilaf, but chikhyrtma is not uncommon as an independent dish.
  • There is a dish in Georgian cuisine with a similar name - chikhirtma - but different from this one. First of all, the fact that chikhirtma is a soup, although they are similar in the ingredients and preparation.
  • The simplest products are required, there is not much time either, but in the end you get a bright, tasty and very delicate dish.
  • Chop the onion rings.
  • Melt the butter in a pressure cooker bowl, then fry - simmer the onion until it becomes porridge, adding salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  • For the best effect of cooking onions, I often use pressure, I cook the onions under pressure for a couple of minutes.
  • When our onions have acquired the consistency of such an onion gruel, we carefully put the pieces of chicken into this onion broth sauce. We cook the meat until tender, the meat in the onion should be constantly boiling. At this time, beat the eggs with a fork and gently pour into the boiling meat and onion yummy.
  • We let it boil a little more and you can call everyone to the table.
  • Sprinkle with green tea. Serving fresh homemade bread.

It is delicious! Once upon a time I ate this and I can definitely say that it is delicious. I still recommend cooking not from fillets, but from pieces of chicken, better of course from homemade.
To me it somehow reminds me of onion soup about its taste, and I love onion soup
